Here’s my website Dave Miller Gaming for the games I created, and some other stuff.
Seems to work for me.

I can only imagine that a minor typographical error confused things.

Indeed that one works, but I was referencing a URL that resolved all the way to a page name and file extension, which did not work.

The link I couldn’t get to work is on a post I made earlier today. Given that Mike closed the thread and issued a warning to all posters, I’m not going to reference it here. If you can find it, you will see the general URL form that didn’t work for me.
I'm pretty sure I found the post and link you're talking about.Quote: BleedingChipsSlowlyThe link I couldn’t get to work is on a post I made earlier today. The link worked for me - taking me to the NY Daily News article you referenced.
Did it NOT WORK, or not take you to the article you wanted? I mean, maybe there's pay-wall issues with the Daly News.
I know I prefer to use url=, because it's shorter.
Anyway, glad you're sorted out.
Working for me on Chrome.

The difference seems to be I didn’t preview the post as I usually do. What is presented in the post is the junk I see in the preview. Then again, perhaps having nothing but a link for the post was a factor.

One cannot help but observe the errant space between the = and the URL in the tag.
Let me try...
Woo!
' rel='nofollow' target='_blank'>https://wizardofodds.com] Misformatted on purpose
It's easy to let an extra space slip in, and that's what it looks like.

This may be an artifact of a "feature" of MacOS and Safari called "Smart Copy/Paste".
I am not a Safari user, but rumors on the tech support forums seem to suggest that using command-shift-option-V to "paste and match style" may prevent the errant space inclusion.
It may also be possible to disable this helpful feature in Safari, via a hidden or buried preference.
It may be possible to use an alternate way to copy text. Double-click to select seems to add a protective space for some users; drag-select seems to omit the errant protective space.
It is likely possible to do the normal copy/paste of a URL, then delete the errant space.
Glad you're sorted. ;)
This problem only pops up if you try to use a formatting tag with your pasted URL (something with [brackets]).
If you insert a raw URL into the post, it should work, it just won't be stylish.
Example: https://wizardofodds.com
