I was playing the craps on WoV site trying to get to know the rules a little better, and I have a question.
How come when I make a don' pass or don't come bet, it always seems to let me then take 6X odds? E.g., if bet $25, it says maximum bet is $150. I thought it was supposed to be either 3, 4 or 5 depending on the point?
What am I missing?

when betting don't, you are allowed to lay enough to win 3,4,5x odds. Conveniently, that is 6x.

What I don't understand is why it does not depend on the point.
The rules page on wizardofodds.com says: "For example, if you bet $2 on the don't pass and the table allows full double odds then you can bet $8 to win $4 on a point of 4 or 10, $6 to win $4 on a point of 5 or 9, and $6 to win $5 on a point of 6 or 8."
So, I was expecting that the limit would be different depending on what point was rolled.

That's what would happen if the table was "full double odds." You are playing it on a (simulated) table with 3x, 4x, 5x odds. If you bet $2 on the pass in this case, you could bet odds of $6, $8, or $10, depending upon the point. On the other hand, if you bet don't pass, you are allowed to win $6, $8, or $10 with your don't-pass odds bet, depending on the point. Because of the payout ratios, these all would require a don't-pass odds bet of $12 (6x your line bet.)

Thanks, Doc! It all makes sense now.
