Hey, look at that post.

https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/questions-and-answers/math/18349-problem-of-the-day-ii/#post363213

The poster unwittingly did not make the '/spoiler' flag readable, and the result is that both his signature and the "quote" "reply" "flag" buttons have disappeared from view. (Well they are visible inside the spoiler...)

Trying to replicate it... maybe it has to do with the link in the post.

Look, it happens for quotes too, if I omit the unquote flag.

Like this? Also a mod should probably fix teliot's post if he doesn't do it himself.

The other day I checked the last page of recent threads and saw a strange message. Think it said something like "that's strange, there is nothing there".

It says "Strangely, no threads were found."

I think this is because the pagination component doesn't take into account threads you have blocked. So for someone without any threads blocked, there would be threads on that page.

While not a bug, it would be nice if the string of links at the top of each page:

Home » Forums » Forum Info » Help » Bug in the formatting

Was also at the bottom of the page. That way when you get to the last post in a thread you could get back to the main (sub)forum index without having to scroll back to the top of the page.

Instead, hold the key that causes the link to open in a new tab. That way, you just close the tab and you're back not just in the page, but at the spot you left off.

Some browsers do this by optional default.

Of course, it could also be part of the forum's programming. Hint hint....

Good god no. That would make the site horrible to navigate.

Just get a mouse where the scroll wheel is also a button. The majority of browsers will open links in a new tab if clicked using the scroll wheel instead of the default mouse button.

I know how to open a link in a new tab.

It would be nice if the link bar was at the bottom of the page as well as the top.

I don't expect it to change immediately - or ever, for that matter - but if I had to make one suggestion regarding the format of the site, that would be it.

Press the "Home" key and you get to the top of page.
Press the "Delete" key and you get to the previous page.

EDIT: (see next post) Not "delete" but "backspace" (translation problem, there is no term like backspace in French).

I think you mean <backspace>, which is the same as clicking the back button in most browsers unless you're in a text field.

It's not like I don't know how to get around a web page or something. Just a suggestion that might make navigating the forum a little bit easier for some folks.

+1 The home key works but then I have to let go of my mouse. A button on the bottom would be very convenient.
