Every time somebody flags a post it is tagged with the same number of points as the person flagging it. Once a post has 20 or more flagging points it is automatically busted. So it takes two long-standing members only to bust a post.
Please make use of that feature.
Quote: WizardI have been getting lots of complaints about trolls and suggestions at how to get rid of them. May I remind everybody about the "flag post" feature. Every member starts out with 1 point, and gains an additional point every month, up to a maximum of 10.

Thank you for explaining this, I had no idea how it worked beyond clicking "flag." I for one shall promise to use it wisely.
Edit: never mind, I'm a doofus who doesn't know how to read the entire explanation. Bust my post, please!
Quote: mipletCan you add a confirm button? I've flagged several post by mis-clicking.
Not easily. I'll keep that idea in mind.

True. If I see that then I'll increase the number points required to bust a post.
I suspect we'll see a significant improvement in the forum now that more people are aware of how this feature works.

Somebody else flag it, I want to make sure it works. I get 20 flagging points and know it works for me.

Just out of curiosity does the poster get any notification or does the post simply "ghost" and the administration of the board take it from there?

It's gone. The post just vanishes and the poster is not notified.
