Guy appears to be a professional at working the system.

I'm not one to instantly dismiss individuals who feel the casino should have stopped them, but this guy...based on what I have read...I am not sympathetic.

My first thought was that any winnings he'd get from this case he'd put back into the casinos. Then I felt bad. Then I realized I was probably right and I don't feel bad anymore. Addiction is a real thing, and he just makes those legitimately trying to struggle their way to overcome it look much worse.
