Lottery Commission reports 15.4% increase in December
Virginia (results) - Lottery Commission -The Virginia Lottery released its report on casino gaming activity for the month of December 2025; revenues totaled $86.5 million and $19.8 million in taxes, GGR was up 15.4%. There are four operating casinos in Virginia: Hard Rock Bristol generated $22.6 million, Rivers Casino Portsmouth $26.7 million, Caesars Virginia $35.9 million, and The Interim Gaming Hall Norfolk $1.4 million. https://tinyurl.com/3ewf24da

Louisiana (results) - Rege Behe, CDC Gaming - Louisiana reported revenue of $223.3 million from the state’s casinos in December, up 9.8%, boosted in part by Bally’s Baton Rouge opening land-side and Live! Casino Louisiana opening in Bossier City. Combined, the two casinos added $15.1 million. December sports betting revenue was $63 million from a handle of $398 million. Lake Charles generated revenue of $78.8 million, up 7.4%. Shreveport/Bossier City $56.2 million, up 16.3%. New Orleans $56 million, up 5.3%. Adapting slots for new IRS threshold could take months
National (slots) - Mark Gruetze, CDC Gaming - While casino operators and players cheer the newly raised IRS threshold for reporting slot jackpots, implementing that simple-sounding change to machines nationwide might take months.
