Hi guys,
just a heads up that we are soon to launch the redesigned WoV , which will be mobile friendly ( responsive ). It will have many new perks, including possibility to upload your own avatars, comment under news/articles and other reviews on the site etc.
The new site will be launched in the next 12-48hrs.
We are welcoming all suggestions, bug finds ( there will probably be a few ) etc upon the launch.

As opposed to others who don't appreciate them and have deaf ears. That's just 1BB getting his digs in at the other admins on here in the style you are know for. Just skirting the rules and playing by what you see them as, hoping someone else breaks them so you can defend them. But also playing up to the next person you see as being in line up the food chain is Do-Gooder 101 and you are the prime student. I think someone (me?) stated this before as your next move.
And whatever you say next doesn't change the facts here as I and most others will see it. Face it, you make it far too easy, unless that is the plan and you enjoy feeling like the victim when the inevitable posts come admonishing you for questioning everything.

Mobile friendly? Uh, oh. I've seen too many "mobile friendly" sites that make me want to throw my iPhone out the window. And WoO is on that list. Fingers crossed that WoV doesn't become another site I hate...

Going to take Zuga's direction to leave this to the topic....after this comment...but all one has to do is read the extra part 1BB added to see what he was getting at in his constant dips and questioning of the admins of this site.
And the avatar looks good.
Now I'm going outside to follow 1BB's advise before he gets an attorney after me. Because you know, he loves to push everything to gets others in trouble so he can defend them. Not sure why though?

Interesting look, will take some getting used to. I think thr avatars are a good move, although it is one more thing to monitor.

I check the site and it is normal, go take a walk come back and BOOM! Like anything it will take some getting used to. I swore I would not do avatars but they are kind of subdued so I will give that a shot. Thanks, Mr. Zuga, for keeping most of what we all liked!

Previously, going to a thread I have already read to view new posts took me to where I left off. Now it appears that clicking on a previously read thread always starts at the beginning.
Not sure if that was intentional or desired by others, but I prefer being taken to where I left off.

There doesn't seem to be enough deadspace on my phone. I understand trying to maximize content on a small display, however.
The Recent Posts page still takes a while to load. Suggestions to not calculate the newest post in each thread while generating the page have been discussed elsewhere.
The buttons to select which page in a thread to go to are bigger. That is helpful.
The stylesheet feels like it still needs tweaking.

I logged in this morning and thought I'd been redirected by a hacker. Then I looked around and see that the place has been remodeled. Hasn't taken long to get accustomed to it. And I like adding avatars!
Can't wait to see the updated mobile version.
I have always liked the preview option. It was disturbing to see odiusgambit (sp) looking at me while I did it though.

Two things I've noticed so far:
Blog posts are not showing up on the mobile friendly version. They do when I'm on my laptop, but no text on the mobile friendly.
I find it strange that the Off Topic section is above the related sections (Gambling, Gaming Business, Las Vegas Casinos). Off Topic should not be a featured section.

If you will notice, it is a combo of a Rebel Flag and a "Don't Tread on Me" flag. Consider me a sympathizer of good, hardworking southerners who are looked down upon by the elite in this nation.
We have a muslim that kills soldiers and we are told "he is not all muslims." We have a guy kills people and has a rebel flag and all of the sudden, anything with the flag or CSA must be whitewashed from history.

What I did like about the old design that I don't like here, is having to start on the first post of a thread.
Before, when I clicked on a thread it would take me to the last post that I had seen.
Is that going to be looked at?

Other than that, looks cool.
Few suggestions if possible.
1) I know it doesn't have to do with the new forum layout or whatever, but should be a regular checkbox thing in the admin CP....but can someone enable Quick Post? So you don't gotta hit "Reply" in order to respond. There'd automatically be a box at the bottom of the screen to type in a response.
2) Hotkeys. I forget what they are, but I think Alt+S for post and Alt+P for preview.

Would be awesome to have a "View Recent Threads" link at the top somewhere. I hate navigating to /forums then having to click onto recent threads button.

One thing I noticed on the main page is that I no longer see a distinction between threads I have read and threads that have new content since I last read them. The unread thread titles used to be in bold, whereas the thread titles I have read were in standard typeface.
This made it easy to see which threads had new content at a glance. Is there any way to restore that functionality?

Oh, and when I preview a reply, my reply shows as belonging to the user I am replying to, not me. It also has an unknown (to me anyway) picture of somebody as the avatar.

Try holding down CTRL and pressing the + sign key a few times see if that is any better ...it was for my eyes

The lack of highlighting/bold as others have mentioned is annoying, but also the shortened text length on recent threads (and other areas) is not good. As an example, before it might show "Hey guys where is the best strip food?" and now it is shorter and will show "Hey guys where".

Can't change the size of anything for this site on iPhone. Can't for FaceBook either, but that uses a slightly bigger/darker font so it's ok.

I hate new things, too. But while I lost "my WoV", I can see that if I came to a sight and found it looking like this, I wouldn't be put off. In a week, I'll forget all about it.
I just need to search for the new admin functions. Thecesspit was having trouble getting the Leafs logo as his avatar, and asked me to help him. I just gotta plop that in there and everything will be kosher XD

The Recent Threads section now has only 5 entries, used to be more than that.
From the homepage I have scroll past a bunch of header info (new members, most posts, etc) in order to see the sub forums. I guess that info was neat as a header if your eyes could skim past it, but I don't need to be forced to read it every time.
Too much scrolling required in general. Each sub forum's "most recent post" display (with avatar etc) occupies about a half-screen of vertical screen space on my phone. My index finger is going to fall off if I try to scroll down to the 20th sub forum.
I realize this is a balance against the old version which had small text that I would often have to zoom in to ensure my finger clicks the right link. But maybe a balance can be struck.

This does not appear to me to be "better" in any appreciable way, at least (and only) relating to my mobile experience. I do definitely like the clean and subdued look of the new design overall.
