Attention good people here at this forum:

I am donating/"looking for a good home," my crap table table-top that I used as a dealing student years ago. Still occasionally used it to show other aspiring crap dealing students dealing basics. Can easily be used as a home game/bingo night thing, but is geared for one or two students learing dice together from one teacher teaching them.

1. It's a 6' by 3' double sided practice or playing table (four to a side for home game use, very fine for learing.) Large enough for a small game or for practice dealing the game; any larger would be unwieldly and awkward, and any smaller would be unrepresentative of the game; perfect size, essentially.
2. standard double-sided layout applied perfectly and seamlessly to a base of solid plywood particle board, with a 4" light blue perimeter board around the table (full 1" x 4" full wall perimeter, solidly attached. )
3. Drop on a dining room table, pool table or coffee table, and roll away. Store upright in a closet or garage.
4. Layout is mini double-sided (four player spots each side, two alongside stick, and two down-the-middle.)
5. Does not have alligator backboard ribbing, but for a home or practice table, this is fine. You can apply if you wish.
6. layout is totally standard, with pass/don't pass, come, box numbers, and 6 & 8 corners. Prop bets are standard, with Any Red stripe on top, with Hardways boxes, then Horn number boxes (2, 3, 11 & 12) below, then the "Any Craps" line on bottom, with C & E arrows surrounding the center action area. No hop bets.

Doesn't come with chips, a dice stick, or puck, as I am keeping my poker chip set. Table is small enough not to need a stick. You can get these accoutrements at Gamblers' General Store for chips and a on-off puck, or you can use a white chip as the puck.

I practiced with Nick here on it. Not using it, wondering if anyone wants it. I will post a picture of it (I'll ask Nick how-to on that.)

PM me if you want it.
Dan.

Buzz' failing attempts at humor aside, I think it would be cool to have that in my game room. Yeah, I want it. Sigh, shipping to NJ might be a problem....

Dan, definitely post some pictures. If you haven't found a home by the time G2E rolls around, I am driving out from SoCal for that and may take it off your hands. As DJ said, shipping anywhere is going to be an issue for sure.....

If you decide to deliver my free pool table as well, could you stop in Salt Lake City and pick up my cousin Ralph to help unload the truck ?

Ralph has a trailer hitch, so could you haul his 1964 Desoto also. Scrap metal prices are higher there in Colorado.

Don't trust that Ralph. The last Desoto was made in 1960.

Early Plymouth Valiants had push-button auto transmitions.

While you are Dan, will you have enough room in your vehicle for Ralph's hound dogs.

They require air conditioning.

How much to ship to Cincinnati? I *might* be interested if it's still available. I would like to see a picture, though.

My first car had the same. Looked like an eight-track deck, but was actually the gear shift. So easy to use that I could never understand why it didn't catch on. Like the way that cell phones work in Mexico -- if you want to put more time on your phone, go up to the cashier at any phone store, convenience store, or superstore and tell the cashier who your carrier is, what your phone number is, and how much money you want to spend, and then get a text saying airtime has been added before paying. So simple that I don't understand why it isn't like that in the US.

The Power Flite transmissions went out for the same reasons that all things that work well go out. Popular opinion and money. They cost a little over a $1.00 more to make than the automatic transmissions similar to those we see today, and furthermore, people who had been using automatic transmission more similar to those we see today were hesitant to switch over to Chrysler-manufactured vehicles due to a lack of familiarity with the system. Driver's Ed schools wouldn't touch them.
