I dont know if this ban on red dice is permanent but the stunt has caused a lot of trouble.
The incident is at about 9:30 in on this video:
(note to self: add a trip to Red Rock next time you're in Vegas to see if the gift shops have non-red dice)
Quote: AlanMendelsonYou will no longer find red dice at Red Rock casino. It's because of "SteveWillDoIt" who actually swallowed a red die at a craps table for a YouTube video.

this ... is ... amazing if true
Quote: AlanMendelsonThe problem is that a non cancelled die left the casino.
Of course - security measure. Hopefully "swallowing the color of the day" doesn't become a thing. "We've gone through red, blue, green, purple, and amber - what's left?"
I wonder if they have to go through the Gaming Control Board to change dice colors, the way they do when introducing new chips.

and this is the only proper response to this thread

During the pandemic Red Rock had two sticks of dice at each table: a stick of red and a stick of dark blue.
One stick would be cleaned after each shooter and the second stick would be used for next shooter.
About a month ago when all restrictions were lifted, each table was assigned one stick and it was either red or blue.
Now all the Reds have been set aside.
Yes, the dice are numbered, but numbers are only checked when a die leaves the table.
Fearing an introduction of an altered red die (with a switch made without a die off the table) the decision was made not to use them from now on.

Was one of the dice a number 2?Quote: darkozHe took a Crap(s)?
If so, what were the chances that the other was a number 2, too?

I saw a pair of red Red Rock dice for sale at Bonanza Gift Shop a few days ago. No blue ones, though.
Quote: SiegfriedRoyI want to spend 4 weeknights checking in Monday and checking out Friday at Red Rock in either Nov or Dec. I was thinking of just paying, but the total room rates for 4 nights comes out close to $1,100 (including resort fee and taxes). How are they on comping rooms? Should I just book it, and then ask for a host to look at my play at the end of the trip, or should I approach a host from the start? If anybody is familiar with that property, or know a host who can help me I'd appreciate it.

i dont know, but make sure they get you (at the least) a small cake, shaped like 2 red dice, in order to satisfy your hunger for red dice

So when one dice dropped out, it was a six. Now, are the odds 12/1 or 6/1 that he could crap a 12 on the next come out drop?

If you do book the rooms make sure you book them directly with the casino. Many times they will not comp the rooms if you booked them through a third party.
