Stations CEO and CFO stated in earnings call that buffet would not be returning. Boo. I thought Stations buffets were some of the better food values in town.

Stations buffets were always busy in the properties I visited over the years. Some were good and some were ok. Overall they offered good value for local players. I would guess this may be a short term calculation. There is a lot of floorspace (sqft) dedicated to the buffets, I wonder what will become of the unused dinning areas...

Excellent value if you have a member card. Also, dont forget to have a soft ice cream cone to go when you are done. Though no playing while enjoying ice cream.

I'd like to know what they're going to do with the space. The Red Rock buffet area is huge.

I enjoyed the Red Rock breakfast buffet maybe once or twice a month. That was the only buffet for me as I’m not a buffet person. French toast, bacon, coffee, juice...out the door.
IMO, stations is making a mistake as they are intent on losing the “niceties” to focus on gaming, gaming, gaming. That’s not a “we love locals” type of plan if you ask me.
Typical though...corporate bean counters take over. The Red Rock buffet will become more slots.
No respect for customers. On the last conference call Frank Fertitta referred to station customers as “fish”....as in “we will focus where the fish are.” Terrible way to couch it and shows little respect to how the old man ran the operation starting in 1976.

There's emptiness behind their eyes
There's dust in all their hearts
They just want to steal us all and take us all apart

Although I don't go to buffets, it has probably been 10 years since I ate at one, I still think they will realize their mistake and we will see buffets again at Stations casinos in a few years.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Sidenote: It seems like the STRIP buffets will HAVE to re-open to be able to feed all the tourists once capacity is back up to or close to normal.

Among the top three worst casino news I've ever received. From a business perspective, it is the right decision; hopefully others will be different and make the wrong decision.

Interesting. From a business perspective, the "Should we have a buffet?" debate is in many ways similar to the "Should we allow smoking?" debate.

Have you tried 22 tonight? I said 22.
