Hello everyone,

I just got back from my trip to the GN last week. They always comp me a Rush tower corner suite which I take because I like to spend more time doing things outside of the suite. Last time (and not for the first time) I was offered an upgrade, for some extra money per night, to get into one of the top of the line two level spa suites. Has anyone ever been in them, are they nice, and are they worth it?

Along the same vein, I have the same question about the top of the line (so they say) D suites at the D. I've never stayed there and I wasn't all that impressed with the casino itself. In all fairness, I only gave the place abut half an hour because I had to get back to the GN for dinner.

Opinions on these suites, and the D in general, would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have stayed many times in those Golden Nugget two story suites. There used to be a bug in their website where you could book any room on the website for the price of the cheapest room available.

With my previous GN host, I always stayed in the Spa Suites. They are pretty awesome and I always enjoyed them.

The D suites are okay, but nothing special. They include a small bar and a TV wall. The room is a quarter of the size of the GN spa suites.

Hope this helps.

If I may, what level of action (and which games) did you show them at the GN?

Mainly their DD game in HL. Avg bet around $200, but I had an awesome host and have a credit line which made a difference when they assigned suites.

I have a host and bet a little bit less on DD play. I tend to avoid the high roller area because I'd have the table to myself and they'd be able to deal me many more hands and cut down my time at the table.

I'd give them even more action in the high roller pit if, heaven forbid, they (or anybody) would put craps in their high roller area.
