What a disappointment. All machines, with some "live" blackjack that is just a dealer pushing buttons on a screen (no cards or chips, everything digital).
I was hoping to play some dice; I sat at the electronic craps machine for about 5 minutes before going bored out of my mind. I don't know how anyone can play electronic craps.
Anyway, I won about $20 so that's nice. I shan't be returning. I guess with the prevalence of machines these days, I should always do some research before assuming any place will have live games.
Oh, they did have live poker, which I don't play. But it looked somewhat busy. Good for those guys.
Quote: rsactuaryCurious how the video poker looked?
I don't play VP, sorry. Did not even check.
Quote: IbeatyouracesIt's a racino. That's why no live games.
Yeah, again, should have guessed given it has an attached race track. I thought some racinos have live BJ/craps games?

off hand, Canterbury Park and Running Aces do. So do Harrah's Philly, Delaware Park, and Parx. So does just about every track in Florida (no craps) and California (weird craps).
I knew that Indiana Grand didn't have table games. But I stopped in when I saw a sign for the live poker on the highway because poker = chips, right? No, no...poker = weird digital displays at a giant 10 person table. I can't imagine keeping my neighbors from seeing my digital cards. How does that even work?

Not sure if the same thing, but I remember a few years ago at Aliante they were trying it out. Basically you put your hands in front/around your digital face-down cards, then tap the screen with a card (special type of card I reckon) that flips the digital cards to he face-up. Maybe not a card but a special pen-type thing. I don't play poker so I don't know how all that'd work. But it seemed interesting.

Where is there a racino in California? And "simulcast race betting" doesn't count - in fact, I know a track that has simulcast betting but hasn't had an actual race (except maybe for wiener dog races at the county fair) in years.

Hoosier Park, in Anderson, is also the same as Indiana Live! It is in Anderson, north of Indy off of I -69.
Another track that has real dealers and table games is Prairie Meadows, in Altoona, IA. It is located off i-80 just west of Des Moines. If I remember correctly and have my story straight it is owned by Polk County, and the revenue goes back into local communities.
