I hope Baltimore is worth it. Are most of the other casino's in the are just places to play or do they qualify as resorts too?

While I can't answer the question in your post, I'll address the question in the title.

No. "Iconic" doesn't necessarily mean expensive. Just something that stands on it's on as a symbol of something. Yeah, I realize that's kinda the definition of "Icon".

Take McDonald's, for example. The name, logo and Ronald McDonald are trademarks and icons. The Big Mac name is a trademark, but the sandwich is iconic. If you see a Bic Mac, even without the identifying wrapper, you know what it is.

When I drew the maps that have become the official WoV maps, I included the Sahara, Lady Luck and Western, albeit crossed out. I defended their inclusion based upon the fact that they are "iconic", and still standing.

Two weeks ago was the first time I had driven past the Western. If I knew then what I know now, I would have excluded it.

Looks like I spelled expensive wrong in the title... to much phonics for me. I think Iconic will mean extreme and opulent in this case... it was a little snarky on my part.

I take it as "Iconic" meaning they're going to put Metro out in front somewhere
(Metro is the lion, FWIW)

Yeaaaahhhh...........

You have gotta be the first person in the history of man to refer to the Western as 'iconic'.
