I'm surprised this thread doesn't exist yet.

So who's going?

In another thread (I can't find it), there is discussion of our usual G2E meet-up on Wednesday at 6:00 at I ♥️ Burgers. Is that confirmed?

And in yet another thread, there is discussion of an unconfirmed / possible McNugget challenge on Sunday evening.

Anyway, I'll be arriving early Sunday, and leaving on the Saturday night red-eye.

See you all then!

I will attend, to see the new table games (some of which are mine, with and without associates), and to schmooze with various cronies.

After 10 years it is old hat, or Red Dog.

Thanks for bringing this up. I'd like to remind everybody of the usual WoV gathering at I Love Burgers on Wednesday, after the show, is on. I'm not sure how many will show up but I'll be there with a trivia challenge and gambling money for waitress trivia.

I'm getting in Monday night, and red-eye home Thursday night.

Apparently Shack will be there promoting something. Might be the highlight of the show. :)

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, he's not talking about Mike Shackleford, but Shaquille O'Neal.

I think Shaq made a deal with some slot company who is now producing Shaq themed machines. Shaq will be there, BRIEFLY, for photos and autographs, etc. same company had Mike Tyson last year.

I attended G2E 2015, but not this G2E 2016 due to a long vacation starting next week.

The Expo will begin on the 27th. It would be nice for those who participate in the 2016 Election thread watch the Presidential debate together on the 26th.

He will be there with a esports company. I would like to meet him, but unfortunately I wont be attending the show this year. The same company is advertising a drawing to meet and great Mike Tyson also , but he will not be there at the booth.

I will be exhibiting at raving only this year...

If they have it on the big screens at the Venetian sports book, I'll be down there. Otherwise from my hotel room. No chance I miss that show, though.

I'm in Vegas baby!

Landed just a couple minutes ago, 30 minutes early. Now we're sitting in the middle of the airport waiting for our gate to clear. Sigh...

Anyway, if anybody wants to contact me for a meet-up, call, or text me at:

Otherwise, see ya at the show!

This is a reminder about the WoV dinner tonight at I (heart) Burgers at the Palazzo today at 6:00 PM. Feel free to arrive early for drinks. The reservation is under Wizard of Odds. Brings lots of small bills for waitress trivia.

It was a smaller group than usual but a fun time nonetheless. Here is the Fall 2016 Trivia Challenge:

  1. Which three counties border Luxembourg?

    Germany, France, and Belgium

  2. Where is the eastern terminus of the Trans Siberian Railway?
    Vladivostok

  3. In which state is Camp David located in?
    Maryland

  4. What was the name of Michael Jackson's chimpanzee?
    Bubbles

  5. What is the name of the groundhog at the center of the largest Groundhog Day celebration and where is he from? (half point for each)
    Punxsutawney Phil

  6. How much did Minnie Pearl's hat cost?
    $1.98

  7. What are the two primary ingredients in Succotash?
corn and beans. I'm open to other answers. Probably not the best question ever.

  8. Brass is an alloy made of what two metals?
    copper and zinc

  9. What is the name of the largest moon in the solar system?
    Ganymede

  10. How is a president chosen in the event of an Electoral College tie?
    Vote in House of Representatives

  11. Measured by mass, which element composes the greatest percentage in the human body?
    oxygen

  12. What is English song-writer Adele's last name?
    Adkins

  13. What where the #1 boy and girl baby names for 2015, according to the Social Security Administration? Half point for each one.
    Noah and Emma

How did you make out? I think the winning score was 5.

As I sit at McCarren, with over an hour before boarding, I can play the last chance crappy airport slots, or leave a long post.

Lucky you. 😜

Our initial waitress was an older lady, that knew the name of the dog in Wizard of Oz. I think she also knew the second question. These were just to gauge her trivia knowledge.

Unfortunately, there was a switch before we could play Waitress Trivia with her. Instead, we got a new waiter, a guy in his twenties, who was dumb as a stump. The dog? He said Goldilocks. Oy vey... He blew the other question too.

He left and when he returned, he told us a dick joke. I figured he might be ok for my one related question. Mike and I talked and we got $5 down in this question, which I took that he'd know it: what is the only local titty bar that is both fully naked and serves alcohol? To his credit, he did name an actual local titty bar, but not the correct answer, the Palamino Club.

So I lost $5 along with any interest in continuing to use him in the game. Unless I'm mistaken, we made one of the attendees the subject of one more question.

In the Wizard Trivia Challenge, I scored 4. Note that at least one question had a half point option.

Unlike normal meet ups, there was no group photo, which may also indicate the somewhat lack of enthusiasm.

As indicated elsewhere, afterwards we checked out the Sands Roulette table, then went to play Geoff's new game. Already I'm forgetting what it's called.

Of course, I totally remember the name of his newest deadly cool BJ variant that I made a reference to earlier. Of course, I still can't talk about it. Sorry...

I would have tied five unless knowing one of the metals in brass is worth a half point.
