Good luck at the show. Looks like an interesting competing will be had.

Good luck!
No.Quote: 777Are there any companies that give out complimentary pass?
Quote: MathExtremistI was originally thinking of exhibiting but I've got other projects that take precedence so no. Is anyone planning on grabbing all the rack cards, scanning them, and doing a recap? Normally the general press descriptions are a bit lacking.
I usually give my opinion on the top five or six games. I know the Wiz does his thing and Hazrat cards usually included. I provided him with a few last year also.

VIP Reception from 6-9 tonight kicks off the game exhibits.
This really is a better conference than G2E to see table game innovation. The big boys will be there likely with their best games from G2E and there are a lot of independents there like Lucky & I (e.g. ETablegames, Flip21 & others both on and off the Forum). Big week of feedback for all of us.
Best of luck with your game!Quote: ParadigmAnd so it begins...pre-show conferences start this AM with Teloit's AP seminar & another one (I forget the topic).

It would be really cool if anyone could snag some pictures of the event and possibly share any info on some of the other interesting games presented.
Agreed. I went from "how much does a booth cost" to "I can't make it due to work" but I'd love to see the assembled collection of new games. Thanks in advance to anyone who digitizes the rack cards and/or brochures from the show this year.Quote: RomesBest of luck with your game!

It is today through Wednesday. I'm planning to show up on Tuesday and maybe Wednesday.

You do need a ticket to attend, they aren't cheap & entry is monitored pretty closely. This is more of an industry only event than G2E.

Best wishes to you and Lucky, Paradigm! Also 21flip and any other members showing this year!
Ran into DJTeddyBear in Bally's.
Some good sessions with some good speakers. I was happy with the overall more positive nature of the speakers.
Table Games innovation was a little lacking in most of the games in the competition. I was surprised with the winning game. It's a good game, but VERY VERY close to a game I've had for years and made its rounds in Las Vegas and other areas in the early 2000's. I think it will get some placements out of the show.
Very little interest in the pinball and pacman game as well as a few other booths that were non new table game pitches. I felt bad for them because I'm sure it cost a fair amount of money to be their and the organizers will take anything they can get, but it's not the best format for some of these companies. A couple people told me after 5 minutes of explanation about the math model at Nanotech they just wanted a second of pause to get away. Same theory as in table games. You have about 30-60 seconds of time to explain a game or you lose most people. Most of the attendees are Table Games Directors/Managers and on the floor Supervisors. They are not interested in products and non table games items that won't help them increase win. That's not a major part of their duties or what they do on a daily basis. They can go to G2E for that stuff.
The event itself was well attended and I saw new faces from new properties that hadn't attended in the past. That's a good sign that additional properties are attending. Table Games needs more places to see and try new games. You have to evolve with the times. Players want more choices, more action, more outcomes now.
I still think there should be more sessions on not what Table Games should be doing in theory, but how it is being done at successful locations. It's easy to say "We need to attract millennials" or "Give the customers the appreciation they want". How much does that do if you don't know how to make that happen? I would love to have a session on real life ways to succeed. I've done it during down times. I continue to do it. And I'm willing to help others. There's just been no real platform for that.

Then people have to change, dammit.
I've read the explanation of the Nano
math model half a dozen times and
I still have no idea how it works. Just
show people where to put their hundy
in, and when they lose they can try and
figure out where it went.
I don't know why I missed the updates to this thread earlier.Quote: WizardAny interest in a WoV meet-up? Galaxy is already having a party on Tuesday so maybe Wednesday evening?
I'll be in town until Saturday night. PM or call or text me. 963-896-7905
I big congrats to Paradigm. I spent a lot if time at his game - and not just because of the beautiful Angela working his booth. 😊
In fact, the three games that won, were the three booths where I spent most of my time - at least when I wasn't in the conference session room.
FYI: For a variety of reasons, my game wasn't in Galaxy's booth... And I agree with the reasons.

C'mon EvenBob, keep up with the times.
These things are now table games.
When was the last time you saw a bill acceptor on a table game?
Gold - Texas Switch by Texas Switch, Inc.
Silver - Half Back Blackjack by Lucky Paradigm Gaming
Bronze - Super Sweep Poker by Katrillion Entertainment

Congratulations to our own Paradigm for winning the Silver!
I will be releasing videos of six of the games in the next couple months, including the Gold and Silver games.
If there are enough members lingering around I'd be up for a dinner or something Friday night.

Our iOS App was released on Tuesday in the Apple App store (our apologies to android users, our IT budget only stretches so far). The App is free and has no advertisements, so if you are curious about how to play, that is the easiest way to get a feel for the game. Just search "Half Back Blackjack" and it should pop up for you.
If you happen to be near Tacoma, WA area, Emerald Queen Casino currently has the game on the floor & was running it as a $3 minimum game. Note you start each hand with two equal required wagers.
Thanks again for all the well wishes. As one of the speakers said at the lunch the last day, the work to promote & sell the game has just begun.
Quote: ParadigmLucky & I appreciate the support & congrats from various members above. We did have a good show, not only in the results, but also in the attendees comments to Half Back Blackjack.

Could not be happier for you both! Well, I could, if you'd gotten Gold...lol. Still, you even have a placement already! Hopefully more to come from the show.
It seemed to be a good show with some good games, attendees, speakers and conferences. Insofar as regional representation, I was surprised that there was such a dearth of attendees from the local Nevada market. CA, WA and AZ were well represented, but very few traveled from markets east of the Mississippi.
Overall, it was a job well done by Stephanie and the BNP organizers.
We'll done.

Quote: wellwellwellWhen was the last time you saw a bill acceptor on a table game?
So we had a bill acceptor? Where was it?
We received a notice from IGT to pay for TITO the other day. So you're not the only one who's this ignorant of the fact that we have no ticket printer or bill acceptor nor have we ever had them.
Quote: IGT-representative-via-e-mailDear NanoTech Gaming Representatives:
As you may be aware, IGT is a leader in the design and development of slot machines and systems products. During IGT’s nearly 30 years in business, IGT has done more than just provide great games and products, but created true innovations that have revolutionized the gaming industry, including: the first bill acceptors in slot machines, the stepper motor, and cashless gaming in the form of Ticket-in -Ticket-out (“TITO”) technology. IGT leads a consortium of manufactures and operators that licenses TITO technology and related patents to the entire industry.
IGT has performed a review of current products in the gaming market and has reason to believe that your products may be using TITO technology.
We are interested in reaching a licensing arrangement with you for your past and future use of TITO technology and would like to discuss this matter promptly. Please feel free to contact us to discuss.
I was just offended by your comments and assumptions out of ignorance as I was from the IGT e-mail.
But please let it be known that MANY conclusions are being made out of good old fashioned plain dumb ignorance about our machines and being propogated on the internet. Many of those can even be TRACED BACK to comments made by this anonymous poster Zcore. I have posted details about this on my facebook page, and I invite everyone to sign up to facebook and see our company information there.
I am not promoting, but redirecting for those who want the real information about our games from our company website rather than lies from those who wish you to believe that they are slots and not table games.

Consider this the reality-check that both Zcore and IGT need. We are table games today and we have always been tables games and we have ALWAYS presented our games as table games. Making false claims that we are a slot machine or that we have a bill acceptor is considered to be damaging to our product and our vision, and I take these false claims very seriously!
Even CasinoKat belongs on the main slot floor, but it's still designed to operate as a table game and not a slot machine.
You guys that think "you'll know it when you see it" with regards to your definition of a table game are not using your brain all that much. I can give you that.
If you want to know where the conflict began, here is a link for that. It traces back further than the beginnings of NanoTech Gaming and I think projecting personal problems into your place of work is a mistake. But if you want to keep ratcheting up the stakes for this thing where you wanted to know if I was asking you out on a date, and we started all of this gay talk on a site that has plenty of LGBT folks, we can do that brother.
Just don't pretend this is about slot vs table. This is a street brawl plain and simple.
It will end eventually, I just don't know how yet.
Does anyone know Zcore to be homophobic? I mean why did this even start? He inferred I was gay and got suspended for that, I just wanted to say, "no I'm not gay and how about we meet in person."
I'll tell you what: I chose to snap my fingers, but I could have knocked the guy out cold on the floor two days ago if that was what my intentions were with meeting him. I just think he SHOULD be a man and actually talk to me if he's going to broadcast all this crap about me and the games that we are making to the rest of the world.
Quote: AhighReally? Oh <pause> magawd.
Which man, between these two, will turn out to be the 'bigger' man?
I have not decided my opinion.
I'm looking for the high road, the path less taken.
<edit> it is a wide road, plenty room for two to walk side by side, they don't have to hold hands..
Please point to where I stated you had a TITO on your "thingys".
Quote: wellwellwellApparently reading comprehension is not one of your strengths.

REALLY?
teliot, right before having someone yelling curse words at him for something, advised me about to ignore ignorant and stupid comments like these.
BUT DUDE! SERIOUSLY? YOU ACCUSE ME OF READING COMPREHENSION WHILE YOU FAIL!
TEH AWESOME!
You guys are so bad. Seriously. It's embarrassing for me to even be talking about this.
I mean Zcore is still working on their versus there. I mean it's awesome to get promoted from a break-in dealer all the way up to table games manager like the guy who did the presentation Wednesday morning. I liked that guy a lot.
But you can't go around saying "I'm a professional" slinging that phrase around while being anonymous and attacking people who have way more experience in the areas you want to be considered a "professional" when you are still struggling with basic grammar.
Everybody knows who you are that was at the show. But when people search on our games and they find this website and they find you slamming me over and over and over and over after being asked not to do that, it really just bodes very badly for where this is going to go.
Quote: TwoFeathersATLWhich man, between these two, will turn out to be the 'bigger' man?
Nobody cares who the bigger man is, frankly. We're just going to hear from the "professional" his "professional opinions."
It's like when I am at a craps table, every "professional" dealing to me has a "game idea" for a casino game just like when I say in I was working with Nintendo who was on site with my team in Dallas 20 years ago, everybody's nephew had saved the princess in Super Mario and could I get them a job.
I am a professional, too.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/ahigh
I am not anonymous. I am an actual real person with my real life and my real ambitions at stake being attacked by anonymous people ALL OVER THE INTERNET.
Zcore is one of many.
Get in line.

I have seen that, and it's crazy. Seeing people do things on your own game that you never knew could be done is even more astounding.
And this is absolutely related to our games. Table games ARE changing. It's a FACT!!!
You can ignore it and make ignorant and stupid comments.
You can complain about having to learn.
OR you can ADAPT and TAKE ADVANTAGE of the new regulations and improve your products.
I get disgusted reading stupid comments from people who choose to act ignorantly. Add in damage to my company, and I am VERY upset!
Similarly this is a modem:
Now, is this a slot machine?
And is this a modem (for that matter)?
I see digital coax in and digital ethernet out. I'm not sure I can see any "modulation" going on at all.
It's marketed as a modem, and we could market our games as "slot machines" -- but there are no reels, there is no lever, no coins go inside.
We are being called a slot machine because of why, exactly? I mean I am just trying to figure this out, really.
WHY?
I will GIVE you that we COULD call it a slot machine.
But it's just IGNORANT to do that, frankly. We are about intelligence in our business plan not ignorance.
I think maybe the right thing to do IS to ignore the ignorant people.
But the last thing I heard from the Wizard was HIS implication that he has rescinded his acceptance that we are a slot machine from him G2E 2014 review where he called us "by far the most innovative (table game) product on the show floor."
Link for the actual review by the Wizard where we were given his nod as the most innovative idea at G2E 2014.
This year, the Wizard chose not to review CasinoKat at all for the table game show as far as I know. He mentioned pressing time as he sat in front of our booth while I was unsure if he was going to interview us or not, then he said, and I quote, "I just have time for ONE more review of a table game, so" and then he turned around and reviewed the game right across from us, as if to imply, "uhm, Aaron, you don't even have a table game."
