I played the street dice game ONCE.

I found the rules to be NOT FUN.

I did win and I am a lifetime winner of the game.

I don't care for the game at all.

I have yet to run into anyone who thinks the concept is even remotely attractive for any reason whatsoever. The closest I have come to that is suggestions that say that the game may be beatable because the dice are so big.

I think the game is lame and has no hope.

I apologize if the person who invented the game is reading this message, however, that's what I think. It's not personal and I don't know who invented this game, but it's an insult to the original game IMO.

I am proposing a six-roll version of Downtown Grand's Street Dice with a hit rate of about 44.2% (cp to the current 39.37%), with the following special rule variations:

1. Come-out roll pays exactly as the standard Craps Pass Line.
2. Setting a point allows the player to add an Odds bet next to his Pass bet.
3. Winning on a point "easy" pays the Pass bet even money, "hard" pays it triple, while the Odds bet is paid at true odds against the
point before 7.
4. After five point-set rolls with neither the point nor 7 appearing (a "no-show"), the Pass bet loses (E = -4.56%), but the Odds bet
pushes.
5. A No-Show side bet pays 6-to-1 (E = -10.34%) when all six rolls are used with neither the point nor 7 appearing, otherwise it loses.
6. A Don't-Pass bet is possible (including laying odds), which would play exactly as in standard Craps, except for a push after six
"no-show" rolls. (E = -3.96%). Any Odds laid would push also.
7. The Brick Bet, although less important because of the bonus paid to the Pass bet, can still be offered at 20-to-1. (E = -7.44%)

The Don't bet would offer the opportunity to win when the game is running "cold", and an improved Pass hit rate can increase the frequency of "streaks".

No we need another discussion about how many threads to create. Let's make a thread to ridicule people who have too high of a thread to post count. YEAH!

No wait, we can find better things to ridicule people for, can't we. How about a thread about people that are too afraid to gamble for fear of losing.

That would be fun.

No, jerk, I don't! How about if I just don't bother putting it in either one! I just thought is was a good idea and that the GIC was the proper place for it. I'll dump it in file 13 instead. I won't talk anymore about it, and you don't need to, either! How that for not giving a shit! Goodbye!

Axel, not sure what set you off here, NTS usually has some pretty good insight/input to game design and I think you have valuable insight into a lot of AP topics.

The rebuke above seems a bit out of character, I hope both of you continue to add your collective wisdom & insight to the Forum. I enjoy reading both of your posts.

I thought this was rather harsh. His post was specifically about how to improve Street Dice, as opposed to general comments about the existing game. There are quite a few game inventors on the forum, so a thread devoted to the topic of a New and Improved Street Dice is not uncalled for.

Three-day suspension for personal insult. For Axel, another notch in his belt.

Dam this all happened to fast. I only seen all of this because I seen his name in red and went to investigate why.

It was a mix up and NTS got suspended for a personal insult directed towards Axel........Axel, being the stand up guy that he is, offered to take the suspension in NTS place and Wiz obliged. It was all just a big misunderstanding.....
