Obviously, the slot credits are pretty easily understandable, but on table games how do they operate?

Was in Vegas last week and gambled off and on, but probably had a total buy in of over $4000 and 20-30 hours at table games. During this time, I tried to keep up with my tier credits as I was approaching Platinum status from the week and outside of the credits gained through slot play, didnt notice any at all from table gaming.

Is there a minimum bet required for this, is it based on amount of time played or actual win/loss and also, are those applied instantly or at a later date?

Thanks

I think getting credits at table games is super-dodgy and largely depends on the floor person.

I recently put in 12 hours at $25 a hand and it got me 350 tier credits. No idea if that's good or bad, but it honestly doesn't seem like much.

I have only played at the N Carolina casinos. With that said, I have noticed that toking seems to make a big difference. I actually had one of the dealers tell the pit boss that I was a "nice guy" when he was entering tier credit info.

I assume that's what they are doing when they come to the table and type on the screen for a couple of minutes.

If you were playing blackjack, blackjack ratings are TERRIBLE these days without some black chip action.

Are you at tables for longer than an hour at a time? If you hit and run a dozen tables over the course of a day, there's a good chance that none of them decided to log your play. This is especially true if you're flat betting the minimum.

For most intents and purposes, time spent and average bet are all that matter. Some games have a "skilled" button that can slow down your progress (think BJ basic strategy). Most of the time your points will update within an hour of you leaving a table. However, it can sometimes take until the next morning.

I was playing Pai Gow and the pit boss straight up told me that Pai Gow ratings are terrible because it's such a slow game with a low edge.... I don't care, though, I'm not there for comps. It's still a fun game. Still, I probably had a good $50-$60 worth of alcohol at bar prices over the course of two days, and lost $130 at the table, so that's almost a 50% comp return! Haha....

It varies wildly on the pit manager. For a 1hr $10 3CP session I've gotten anywhere from 50-1200 TC. I've come up with a couple plays that I think get consistently close to the high end of that, but they could be BS and it's just the silly suite not doing his job. PM me and I'll explain and you can tell me if I'm full of it.

Pai gow ratings are fair. They might underestimate hands per hour, but if you stay at 5-6 person tables you will usually be fine. If I was forced to pick a number, I'd say $25 is where you will get some level of respect from the supervisor in terms of making sure to put in your time. If you were betting the $10-15 minimum and drinking a lot you might have gotten the cold shoulder. Still though, it's one of the best entertainment values in the casino as you note.
