Yep, doesn't matter how you get diamond. If you get it, you get all the rewards.

That's been my experience as well. Zero distinction in the system between earned diamond and promotional diamond (aside from the tier credits obviously).
I've been shifting so much of my play away from Harrah's SoCal to other SoCal casinos because their offers are ridiculously awful, and just this month they cut me off entirely. If they don't actually think the other casinos around here are serious competition, whoever's in charge of their marketing needs a boot to the head.
Like VIP lounges? Harrah's got a soda fountain and, for a few hours a day, tray-passed mini-apps. Pala's got a mini-buffet with ~8 hot pans and desserts, 24/7.
I was wondering if there's a list of other casinos that are willing to do the same for Caesars?
I really need a tier match at MGM, already got Caesar diamond
I just noticed they got around to adding SoCal casinos into their list of competitors. I'd say their matches are fair enough. (Pala, Pechanga, Valley View, Barona, Morongo.)

Borgata AC tier matched me before they switched to mlife, and now after the switch I was given an mlife gold.

I just found the website StatusMatcher which appears to be generally helpful, but I didn't see anything helpful to your specific requests.
Total Rewards and Wyndham Rewards will match the other's status.
World of Hyatt members can receive a matched tier with M life Rewards.

Wow, good find. Thanks. There's a huge amount of value to be gained via matching offers, albeit they are usually a 1 time thing.

Borgata (Atlantic City) used to give you their Black card if you were Diamond.
now that they're wholly owned by MGM as of last month, the black card got converted to MLife Gold.
they might still do that???
edit:
still valid!

too bad the Trop no longer matches Caesars. :(
free carnival cruise is a nice perk.

Trop tier matched me about a year ago, but it was a "trial" type thing and you literally couldn't use any of the benefits until you earned a certain number of points

Does that actually get you anything particularly interesting at LV locations? The list looks pretty tame; mostly the 'skip the line' and 'slight discount' types. At least Diamond does the monthly show tickets and free daily dinner in the lounges.
And I wonder if they'll honor that offer for somebody from out of town who pretty obviously explicitly showed up to take advantage of that...

I live near mgm in md.
I use it for the +20% in points, which (I think) is +20% in express comps.
then when I goto atlantic city, I have enough express comps for the $12.50 vip/Amphora lounge fee, or regular buffet.
this is in theory. I haven't done it yet.
note:
Borgata requires $5 in express comps accumulated that day before it will show up in your acct.
if you get $4.99 or less, you get $0 for that day.
Not a bad deal for someone to just get 2500 points in day and get the 5000 bonus to have the status for the entire year. Based on if you use the benefits it could be worth it for someone.

just did the Wyndham match to my Caesars Diamond.
only useful thing for me was free wifi.
hm.. mLife will match your Hyatt level, but not vice versa? (im mLife Gold)
Quote: GWAECan someone tell me if I earn Diamond on a friday, can I go to the rewards center right away and get upgraded and get the perks right away. IE dinner celebration, show tickets, and no resort fees? Or do you have to wait for emails and letters to get the perks?
In between. For sure by next business day, if applying a bonus amount for that day's play. It will show in the computer, and the players club is looking at the same thing.
You get a savvy players club person, they will issue you the card as soon as you hit it. They can read where your TC is and that days play and see it. Did that at Ballys a few years ago, had a good PC rep.
When you make diamond, if the TR on-site gives you trouble about waiting, I would suggest you go to VIP services. Those folks usually know more and do more with the accounts than the main booth.

I remember a while back on here someone made diamond on the last day of their trip but couldn't get resort fees waived. After your reply and thinking about it I am guessing it had something to do with a bonus hitting and it not hitting quickly enough.
I assume if I stay 4 days and do DIAD on day 1 then I would be good to go by at least day 3.
I am torn between paying for founders or just doing diad.
Quote: billryanWith the new fees for low rated players at the Diamond Club, is either way worth it to you? I guess the resort fees can add up. If you pay $300 a year in resort fees, the Founders Card seems like a no brainer.
We will have 4 nights in Jan and 6 nights in July in AC. So 10 nights at 30 a night, plus 100 for celebration dinner for Jan and then again in july when it resets, plus 2 show tickets in Jan. I think we will get the value out if it.
My issue right now with founders is the total rewards contract is Jan to dec. They won't say if it was extended until jan. Last year they cancelled cet but then a month later it was added back in. I am wondering if they will cancel it again this year, or maybe them changing the lounges again let's them keep the founders. Currently founders is 495 but they have a bonus of a free 200 gift card so really it is only 295. If I buy it I can get 300 out of it in Jan for break even but would need it to extend to July for a win. However there is also a possibility that if I buy it now that if they dont extend it past dec that they can revoke the diamond that should expire Jan 31st.
Just not sure what I should do.
What dollar value do different people put on Diamond status? For me I would say about $300. I have found the real benefit for me is if I do it in a single day at the beginning of the year I get a very high ADT assigned to me so I get thousands of dollars in free play over the next six months or so.

Fwiw, I did DIAD on Jan 1 this year, with the bonuses, and the PC agreed I'd renewed later that day. I think they get asked this all the time, and I don't think you'll have much trouble getting the cards made, but of course I don't know the particular TR club or rep you'll have.
Quote: gamerfreakWhy do they require that you pay the fee in RC? I wish you could just give them cash
In AC the reason given was they wanted people to play to earn the credits. Much of this started years ago when AC was full of people literally eating and drinking 300+ days a year after barely getting Diamond. I did see a reduced number of people in the DL's after the change though I don't know that they made it impossible by any means to keep people out.

Yea, because for $10 I’d rather just eat at Johnny Rockets
Quote: gamerfreakYea, because for $10 I’d rather just eat at Johnny Rockets
I don’t disagree but if getting into the DL is important to anyone it isn’t that costly for a smart player to get to 25k instead of 15k. But if you are only in Vegas and don’t travel to areas with better DL’s you really are not missing anything.

I'm at 26,897. Are people allowed to transfer RC's? Anyone know? I'll send you 700 if it's allowed.

You may transfer reward credits but not tier points.

I can see why they don't want to deal with cash however I think they should allow you to charge it to a room and maybe only at the property that you are staying it. So if I am in Caesars I can't go to Harrahs. At least if you are staying there, there is a reasonable chance that you are spending money so it should be a perk.

Yeah, I think transferring TC would be abused. Thanks for the thought.
I might hike it up to AC for a night this weekend. My adt would take a hit, but that's fine.

Popular speculation says that they're trying to keep out the people who get Diamond via matching or Founder's Cards, and not actually patronizing their properties.
Personally, I prefer the idea that they could just implement another intermediate tier for that which has some, but not all, the Diamond benefits, but that may make the tiers unnecessarily cluttered and complex. (Like how I heard Harrah's Laughlin has a Veteran's Card that's like a gimp Platinum, but available for 'free'.)
Edit: Evidently it's actually a Platinum with some extras: https://www.caesars.com/total-rewards/promotions/total-rewards-salute-card
