Anyone ever stayed in one of the Deluxe Suites at the Flamingo ? I am wondering if it is worth the premium price, which retails at about $ 150 - 160 per night in December, weeknights. I am coming out with a group of 4 and would like the idea of all the size of the suite.

Description:

Deluxe Suite | 1 King | Pool View
Flamingo Las Vegas - Las Vegas

"Flamingo’s classic-style Deluxe Suite ranges from 1,400 to 1,600 square feet. It comes with a separate bedroom with a king-sized bed, a parlor area with a couch, dining table, wet bar, fridge and flat-screen TV. These large Las Vegas suites feature a view of the hotel’s beautiful pool and garden".

THANKS

If you are doing to spend that stay at the Cosmo. I just can't justify paying a cet property even one dollar as they are in such bad shape and short of Caesars every one of their places is beyond for lack of a better word gross

Not worth the money. Cosmopolitan are the best semi affordable rooms, but if you plan on returning to Las vegas, it would be worth establishing yourself there because they send lots of good offers.

You can probably get Aria, Bellagio and Encore for about the same as the Flamingo suite. Check all the travel sites. Each will usually have at least one really good deal somewhere.

Agree with all of the above. Why ruin a Vegas vacation by being upset at broken elevators and dirty halls? CZR has let this property go to hell and is just taking every dollar they can. Cosmo as suggested is a much better deal and a better crowd.

The only advantage I see is the size of the group areas. If as a group of 4, you're wanting to spend hours together, away from the restaurants, bars, or other places where a group can be comfortable, maybe it's worth the price. I would have to assume you would have a wet bar and mini kitchen available at the least, along with a table and enough chairs for 4 to play cards or eat. My current house has less square footage than that suite, FWIW.

If you're just going and want upscale accommodations, I highly recommend the Cosmopolitan, though I don't know what kind of quotes you might get online. Their basic room (a studio apartment) can seat 4 comfortably, their 1 bedroom is palatial.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

Wow, I went through Flamingo to get something out of my brother's room there, and Flamingo was run down EVERYWHERE (just like you said, but I guess I had to see it for myself). The elevator stopped 2-3" off of level, no problem for me, but I can see some elderly folks taking a nasty tumble. And the parking garage, talk about a p-o-s.

I called CZR reservations and fortunately they were kind enough to re-book me at Paris instead of Flamingo. And as a huge bonus, they gave me an upgrade to a really nice suite. Say what you will about CZR, but the suite upgrade is really great.

GW:

Like most people ( I assume ), just trying to find the sweet spot for location, quality, CZR comps or discounted rates, and value ( despite what Mrs. Q thinks, we are not made of money ). And since my adult daughters are along on this trip, I wanted a large suite or 2 rooms.

We went to LEGENDS last nite at Flamingo, maybe the property isn't as bad as I first thought. BUT I really hated their parking garage.

We had a nice stay at PARIS.

Maybe our wives should hang out. Apparently my wife thinks when I go to work I print money.

I had 1 complaint a few months ago at Paris. We stayed in a suite and the bathroom and entry had marble floors that were waxed. Both of our kids went down on it and smacked their heads. Nothing serious but it would have been. Not sure why they would make it so slippery.

I've stayed at the Flamingo before in 2012. It's more of an economy type resort that has a great strip location. They did renovate many floors but it's hard to compete against a hotel that does a full renovation. If you get a room that's not renovated you are probably paying what 40 a night? You want something nicer, 150? It serves a purpose. My gambling there was awful. String of bad luck and reduced to takeout instead of fine dining.

Otherwise I'd say you get what you pay for. I think at the time I had a renovated room initially quoted for 89 minus and online discount that brought it down to 60.
