5 Card Plus 2 video poker

I saw this video poker variant at the Durango casino last week. If I understand the rules correctly, if the player gets a three of a kind or better on the draw, then with a specified probability, he may get two extra cards to form a 7-card hand. This second 7-card hand has a separate pay table. Wins on the 7-card hand are in addition to that of the 5-card hand. The game is an optional feature to multi-play video poker. The player must pay ten credits to invoke the feature, with wins based on a 5-credit bet.

Here I get a three of a kind on the deal, which I held.



On the draw, one hand improved to a full house. Of the five hands, three were dealt the extra cards. One remained a three of a kind, one improved to a full house and one to a four 5's. On the bottom hand, the second card from the right of the five-card hand is the 3 of clubs.

This one would be a rather tedious and time consuming analysis. I'll have to give it a low priority. If any of the programming geniuses of the forum which to give it a try, by all means, have at it.

As for this vp, pass if there's a chance of 0 extra hands if I get 3oak or better.
Too frustrating

Looks a little like one of the games I made. In mine you only need two pair or better to get the extra 2 cards.

I only played it for about five minutes. I can't say it did much for me, based on that limited experience.

I haven't seen this one yet (I'm outside of Vegas). When I'm in Vegas one of my favorite games is 3-Way Action Video Poker which is a little stronger on the payout for the 7 card hands.

Was this game based on only Double Bonus Poker?

Looks like 4+3 of a kind on this game pays better than 3-Way Action.. but there is no bonus for 4A+3kickers...

It does have a few extra payouts as well which are cool for 6 card flush etc...

I really love the play of 3-Way Action as it pays on the Deal / Draw / and 7-Card hand.

I've hit a few 4+3 oaks including 2222+333, but no AAAA222 yet...
