Caesars tier credit is 1 per $10 bet on video poker. Earn 5000 TC in 1 day get 10000 tier credit bonus and diamond status (no resort fees, food/drinks in lounge, $100 free dinner main benefit )
If I’m doing the math right and play correctly and put $50,000 through, 2000 spins @99.53% in one day that should have a net loss of $265, which is worth it for diamond benefits.
Has anyone tried this ? Or is the risk of a hand pay and auto taxes (retired don’t itemize) , or not enough spins to get true variance ruin the idea ?
(Yes I know you can get Wyndham business credit card for $100/yr and do matching status game to get Caesar’s diamond also)
Mainly wanting to get it from play one time to see if I can get premium view room for F1 race nov 2023 which diamond through matching doesn’t help with.
With 100 plays there's little risk of getting a handpay. Dealt royals are rare.
I had 4 to a royal twice, both times hit 2 royals for 400$x2 and no handpay
This is known and machines will be busy pretty much all day on multiplier days (sundays usually)
I played a few weeks ago and got 500 tier credits , now I’m getting free rooms in Reno sun-Thurs (no change Vegas prices ) so time to start playing a simulator more to get it down pat before I try it
Being a newly minted Diamond I get free rooms almost every day in Vegas now, except weekends and random busy weekdays at Caesars. If I was closer to Reno or Tahoe (note Harrah's Tahoe also has this machine, and is regularly used for status challenges) I would use this to (re)qualify.
Given the F1 race is nov 2023, trying to figure out how to get a view room without the $1000/night price tag it will likely be once they announce the schedule. Other option get the credit card in January and hope my regular play gets a reasonable room (usually earn 2000 or so TC through regular table poker which doesn’t usually get good weekend rates in Vegas )
BTW, I do DIAD every year. I try to pair it with a 5xTC promo which nets out at 35k TC. Since my bankroll to earned TC is roughly 1-1, that means I bring in 5k, play video poker for a 3-4 hours, and walk out DIAD the next day, and Plus when the promo TCs show up (usually 3-4 weeks).

I do the same every year.
yup, made Diamond Elite last year because of a couple of 5x TC days.Quote: BillHasRetiredI don't think the 15k TC Diamond level is going to work for what you want (window overlooking the Strip). I'd go for at least 50k and Diamond Plus to even start thinking about it. That will get you a host, and you can get the host to winkle you a deal with the front desk.

NOT worth it!
dont see much value over Diamond Plus.
I goto AC which, by law, MUST have lounges thus Diamond Plus is worth it for me.
No idea if Diamond plus is worth it for the OP since all lounges elsewhere are closed or closing.
DiaD (25k coin-in at $10:1 vp on 5x tc day) should get you free rooms in Vegas.
math:
2.5k tc + 5k bonus tc + 10k tc from 5x = 17.5k tc
i am shocked there's still a 9/6 JoB at $10 per TC.
Wasn’t really looking for a free room, just one with a view of the strip with a normal price tag for the f1 race. As I’m guessing those will be 2 or 3x normal weekend price.
Since you’re saying the daily bonuses stack with occasional TC bonuses (I see that the row Reno had a 4x TC bonus last week) seems like the best option for me would do 2500+5000 every day bonus + 4x-5x promo bonus then see what it gets me, then if not what I want can do another day.
Looking at Caesar’s benefits, main extra for diamond plus is an extra $10 a month free sports book bet, so would have ~$60 value (assuming ~50% correct bets)
Guessing you all know this, but just discovered mgm rewards matches to diamond and you get $100 dinner at an mgm property.
at mgm, what do you get matched as?Quote: superdGuessing you all know this, but just discovered mgm rewards matches to diamond and you get $100 dinner at an mgm property.

Ad Kc Js 10s 7s
The simulator said j 10 7 was correct, but isn’t that straight flush type 2, one high card and two gaps
Where a k j 10 is 4 to inside straight 3 high cards which ranks higher in the strategy list ?
For variance I’ve had 30000 credit streak up and 25000 streak down, is that within expected normal play (ie is it safe to try a one day go for 5000 TCs and bonuses with 40000 credits )?
A 3x TC multiplier day is coming up this month but I saw there was a 4x last month so I think I will wait and get in more practice, still making 3-4 mistakes per hour , mostly due to playing too fast , maybe 1 per hour where i miss something like a23 kj where a23 is suited and I pick kj without even thinking about the sf

The Wizard's optimal Jacks or Better strategy addresses this decision in footnote C in his table of rare exceptions.
Last Friday morning the 3x diamond tier credit multiplier started at midnight, I had a good Texas hold ‘em session so I decided to play VP around 1 am. I got just over 1000 tier credits and was down $250 after a couple of hours and went back to my room.
When I woke up to start playing again the daily points when I put my card in the machine were zero, to which I found out that daily play bonus accounting goes 5am-5am (for the every day tier credit bonuses ) so I didn’t finish the play in a day.
Thanks to all for the replies, hopefully the RNG is kind to me for the 2000 hand session later in the year.
Looking at vpFree2 for 9/6 JOB at Caesars properties in Vegas looks to be minimum $5 for 1 play at $25/spin and 1 TC for every $25 coin in on VP.
To do this at Caesars Palace would be $125,000 coin in on single line at expected loss of $625 before figuring TC multiplier days. 10 hours of play a day avg. 500 hands an hour :(
Anyone know what the best option would be in Vegas?

Yes the 4 full pay 100 draw machines at SL are currently $10/TC. Maybe look at the Wyndham credit card or other match status options? I know people that used to go for all the TC multiplier days in Vegas and play the 34 TC an hour hold’em games at Caesar’s poker room , not sure if the multipliers work for poker room in Vegas any longer they don’t in Reno.
Just FYI they have not been applying my multiplier correctly (if at all) on those multiplier days. I carped about it at the desk and got nowhere. Caveat Emptor.Quote: tyler498Also, if you do it on a multiplier day, what you get in rewards credits offsets the expected loss completely.

Silver Legacy/Eldorado also has (or had?) single line 16/10 Deuces and you could bet up to $50 a hand I believe. Something else to do if you get bored with JoB.
