1) Any tips for bankroll sizing?
2) Any tips for locations where action might be found in my range(s)? Any specifics would be super helpful as I'm planning out my next trip.
If there are threads that are helpful, please let me know and I'll review.
Thanks!
Quote: EastcoastdegenSo here are some VP n00b questions. Feel free at any point to point me to other known resources. Or tell me if I知 asking the wrong questions. I like to play DDB (down to 8/5) and BP (I値l go down to 6/5 for multiplay). Preference is multiplay. Comfortable total bet is up to ~$10 (think 100x 2c). 10-play quarters is probably my max I would ever consider.

8/5 DDB and 6/5 BP are awful games. No hope. Bankroll sizing should be zero. Nobody does anything but lose at those paytables. And they lose fast. My suggestion is to play better schedules, or find a new hobby. Take the money that you will surely lose at those games, and give it to animal rescue shelters. There's plenty of 8-5 BP around, in most casino areas, and usually plenty of 9/6 DDB too, which is still a loser. Those would be the minimum paytables I would play, if I had to for some reason.

That might be true in big casino areas but it really depends on where the OP is playing. I don't necessarily look but I don't remember seeing much 9/6 DDB out there in most jurisdictions outside Nevada.
Your advice is sound, don't play bad paytables.
Basically, whatever you are comfortable losing. If you are asking how much you should bring to play for 'X' hours or to get 'Y' coin-in, let us know the specifics, and I'm sure someone here will be able to calculate a bankroll for your specific game and goals.Quote: Eastcoastdegen1) Any tips for bankroll sizing?
There are plenty of places around that have the games you describe, but as noted above, I would hold out for better paytables, which will allow you to play longer with the same bankroll. VPFree2 is an excellent resource to find the best VP paytables in casinos around the country.Quote:2) Any tips for locations where action might be found in my range(s)? You mentioned a trip; I assume it is to Vegas. I would think most casinos on the strip would have 8/5 DDB or 6/5 BP available in multiplay (25c 3/5/10-play machines are fairly common, I'm not so sure about 1c/2c 100-play). However, as noted above, you can do much better with paytables if you look off-strip. E.g. according to VPFree2, South Point has plenty of 8/5 BP and 9/6 DDB 25c 3/5/10-play machines available.
Hope this helps!
