1500 hands in 3 hrs
-$2800
i lost almost $2 per hand on avg.
I only got about a 80% return on this 99.1% game. :(
uggg... that's worse than slots!
I did not get any quads.
on avg, you get a quad once every 500 hands or so.
so i went 3 cycles w/o a quad.
and yes, i did the ploppy thing where i moved to another machine after each $500 loss. (Doesnt do anything mathematically but it made me feel better.)
Here's my calcs:
DB ($10)
variance 28.55
st dev 5.343220003
OriginalSD 53.43220003
sd(1500 hands) $2069.42
ev -133.5
i was almost 1.5 σ (standard deviations) away from norm vs an expected EV of -$133.5.
ouch :(

I've certainly never had that bad of a session cash-wise, but in terms of % return, I WISH that was the worst session I've ever had.
ouch!Quote: DRichMy worst single session was -$10,000 on a 100% machine. Back when I played a lot I had a stopping point if I lost $10,000 in a day. That was the only time I ever hit my stop loss.
what denom was the machine?
huge difference in a 10k loss between a $5 machine ($25/spin) and $100 machine ($500/spin)

Sorry about the bad session. Luck can be a b****

I've lost overall on 100% + machines
My favorite machines in Vegas was that row below Magnolias at the 4 Queens that were 100.17 + because of the progressive. I played those machines a ton
Never hit a royal
So bummed when 4 Queens removed that bank of machines.
Maybe a good thing
Dont play much VP these days , low roller, 25cent machines so 1.25 a bet. If I do play these days, limit loss to 20 bucks.
The only time I hit a royal was in Biloxi on a 99.54 machine years ago.
Overall probably down a little. Without the royal in Biloxi, would be down a lot.
