Used to be automatic .30, and .60 on double points. Now it's .05.
Of course, it's only Saturday, maybe they'll change their minds.
From vpfree2:
$2 Coin-In = 1 Point on Most Video Poker
Cash, Free Play or Comps: 1000 Points = $1 (0.05%)
Over-100% payback games do not earn any points.
.1% and every day was (at least) 3x points making it .3% after the multiplier.
If they still have daily 3x then the points are now worth .15% after the multiplier or basically half of what they were before.
I wish I knew how to word that better. Hopefully it makes sense.

You worded that fine. :-) Thank you.
And before, you got a smidgen for positive games, but essentially zip. Now it's really zip.
By the way, I first noticed that they are having "10x points" on Thursday and Sunday, "guaranteed", "on video poker". I thought, gee, I've never seen that before. Well now I know why. Silverton did the same thing. They used to be .30 like South Point and M Resort but no multipliers. Suddenly they had multipliers and I thought they were getting generous, until I found out they greatly reduced the value. They're all the same, everyone is getting cheap. Not like the good ol' days. Time marches on. But now is not the time to go cheap. Not if they want their business back.

South Point still does double point days (.6%), dont they? Or at least I'm pretty sure they did pre-pandemic. Admittedly I'm not based in vegas and haven't been to SP in maybe a year.
If stations is doing 10x (.5%) every thursday and sunday thats actually not a big change. They used to have 6x regularly which made for a total of .6% so its a downgrade but not a huge one. It guess they totally did away with points on positive EV VP which kinda sucks but since FPDW was already gone it doesn't really matter to most.
I'm curious to see what changes Boyd has made. Call me crazy but I think I miss main street station the most of any vegas casino.
Quote: AlanMendelsonAt Red Rock a lot of floor people and craps boxmen were not brought back.
Permanently? Or are they still furloughed until a full opening is allowed?

They finally gave the B-Connected Virus to Cannery.
Quote: tringlomaneSucks they halved it. But at least slot players are earning double what VP players earn now. I have always thought casinos that gave slot and VP players the same amount of points was always BS.
Some clubs give video poker players $1 coin-in = 1 point, and $1 coin-in on slots = 2 points. I like that better.
It's kinda funny, in a bad way, what they do to some keno players. If all the keno is on the video poker machines, they halve them. lol Poor keno players, they're under-appreciated.

Permanently. And if in the future they are rehired they lose all seniority and prior years of service towards future benefits.

Why does that matter? They're identical mathematically. And yeah, keno players on VP/keno machines are screwed. Lol

True. lol But one of my local casinos halved video poker about a year ago, and it not only cut the value of the points in terms of cashback or free play, it also meant I had to work twice as hard to climb the tier ladder. They're gonna do what they're gonna do.
Here's the thing, in my not so humble opinion. Some brains and imagination, and they could make video poker a very profitable game for the casino. For instance, a local place used to have a 12-machine bank, three progressive games, 12-10 DW, 7-5 BP, and 8-5 JoB. And a very healthy meter. When that royal got up there, as it frequently did, it was a feeding frenzy, difficult to get a seat. Players loved it! As time went on, they cut the amount of machines to eight, and reduced the meter to 4/10ths of a percent. GENIUSES! And players stopped playing them. Once an extremely popular bank, turned into a dust-gatherer. HELLO! Sometimes MORE EQUALS LESS. (and vice versa)
There are so many things they could do to build on the popularity of video poker and at the same time help their bottom line, but instead the trend is to punish us. Just wait till I get MY casino. Bob Bartop's Beautiful Building.

Yeah Hollywood STL slashed Bonus Deuces meters (97.36% base return) a few years back. 4 Deuces used to get $400+ on it and sometimes turn positive. Now $260 is high. Much less play now.
