This is the hand I was just dealt...
This is what I see when I look up which straight flush category my hand falls into...
I’m stuck. What do I do?
The bigger question is..... why are you playing 10 coins?Quote: HotBlondeTell me if you see what I (don’t) see here.

Because she's playing Ultimate x and using the wrong strategy for it. Im guessing it's probably QJT8 in UX (edit: wrong)...lol
In normal Bonus poker, this would be type 1 because you have 2 high cards and 2 gaps. Mike probably should fix that.
But as I wrote above, you're playing Ulitimate X HotBlonde, so that might not be the best hold since a straight gives to an 8X multiplier next hand.
Here is was the basic Ultimate X strategy for Bonus Poker looks like:

But even looking at that list, QJ8 suited still looks to be better.

I know... I know... I don’t EVER play 10 coins on the UX machine.
HOWEVER (and I was going to write a separate forum post about this)...
The Cosmopolitan, where I played this particular hand, is the ONLY casino I’ve encountered (so far) that has a way of locking most of their UX machines now to where the only bet you are allowed to make is MAX BET. Yep, you read that right. They found a way to stave advantage players.
So, staying in a room here this weekend, I was super bummed cause all except 3 of their machines are locked that way now. I encountered this screen, though, that had many multipliers of different amounts left behind on most of the 10 “Next Hands” so although I wasn’t sure how to do the exact math on it I played that one hand max bet.
P.S. Can the Gaming board have an issue with the Cosmo doing this and not allowing any other options on those machines they fixed to make the patron bet max only?

This doesn't solve their problem. Are you noticing if most of the competition is now gone because of this? Are you finding more multipliers left behind?
No more multipliers left behind than normal. And I’m guessing it’s really to detract the scroungy smelly vultures that don’t fit with the vibe of their casino. They also added signs on slot machines that can be advantage played that warn the regular customers about advantage players. I’ll take a pic and follow up and add it to this post momentarily.Quote: AxelWolfI see.

Interesting, I had not heard about this. I'm all in favor of getting rid of the Riff Raff out of casinos.Quote: HotBlondeNo more multipliers left behind than normal. No. Minimum bet requirements are well within casino rights. I'm just glad most casinos don't exercise this option on UX. Also IGT forces a 10 credit bet on all the spin off games. You should have played a standard multiline game, or something like Super Times Pay, if you really didn't want to bet 10.

You should see the casinos in the Miami area.

Still not sure cause he hasn’t fixed it.

Can you explain what I am supposed to fix? Here are a couple links, which may help:
8-5 Bonus Poker strategy
9-6 Jacks intermediate strategy

Hi Mike.
If you look at the picture of the hand I was dealt and then you look at your straight flush definitions, you see you don’t have a straight flush draw with one or more high cards with 2 gaps listed. So I never know whether to treat that hand as A) a straight flush type 1, B) two suited high cards, or C) a straight flush type 2 or 3, etc.
Straight Flush draw (type 1) = Straight flush draw where high cards minus gaps >= 1 .
Straight Flush draw (type 2) = Straight flush draw where high cards minus gaps = 0 .
Straight Flush draw (type 3) = Straight flush draw where high cards minus gaps = -1 & all ace-low draws.
Straight Flush draw (type 4) = Straight flush draw with two gaps and no high cards & includes 234 suited.
The Wiz's strategies do not apply to Ultimate X, which is what is in your picture, unless specifically stating so.
