Gaming Hall of Fame: Moody changed how the industry viewed video poker. http://bit.ly/31UZyIf

It might surprise you to learn the person credited with changing the landscape of the video poker industry can’t explain the inner workings of a slot machine.

“I’m not a computer person. I’m mostly an idea person,” said Ernie Moody, founder of Action Gaming, which operates under VideoPoker.com, where he has spent the last two decades inventing and developing slot machine and video poker content that has become commonplace in almost every casino in America. http://bit.ly/31UZyIf

Ernie had a great idea and was willing to fund it himself. After the game became successful he hired Mike Fields to run the day to day business. That might be the best move he made after Triple Play.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

This does not surprise me. Videopoker.com exists to promote interest in video poker and ultimately sell video poker machines to casinos and products to players. It's development and maintenance costs are substantial. The $8 a month they charge for a Gold membership does not come close to covering these costs. For that money, you can play all the common games plus some new games you have never heard of. This buys you many hours of entertainment without Ads. In my opinion, $8 a month is a bargain.

When you play video poker in a casino you are not only playing against the house, you are playing against an entire gaming industry that has a huge stake in creating profits for their customers. Their customers are the casinos, not the players.
