I will be making a 5 day trip out to Anaheim California with my fiance' for her cousins 2017 World Championship Pokemon tournament from August 17th -August 23rd at the Anaheim Convention Center.
I looked at some neighboring casino's in the Los Angeles Area to play- I will definitely be checking out Commerce casino for the poker room.
I was wondering if anybody can recommend some casinos with some good Video Poker plays -within close proximity to the Anaheim Convention Center - in the Los Angeles /Riverside/San Bernardino/San Diego County's?
I already researched the vp2free site - there are lot of games with 99.5%+ , but any of these games combined with casino promos's /slotback making it over 100%+?
Any help or guidance is definitely appreciated as always!

Apparently, there are two different events; one is for Pokemon Sun and Moon (for the Nintendo 3DS), and another is for the trading card game (think of it as a "dumbed down" version of Magic: the Gathering with Pokemon creatures).
The card game was a big deal about 20 years ago, but very few people were actually playing the game; most kids were far more interested in collecting all of the cards. Keep in mind that (a) there were 102 cards in the set, (b) 32 of them were "rare" in that only one of the 32 would be in any pack of 15, and (c) each pack cost somewhere around $5 in today's money, so you can imagine how most parents felt about this.
As for poker, consider the Bicycle Club in the city of Bell or the Gardens casino in the city of Hawaiian Gardens. They are large clubs closer than Commerce to Disneyland.
Good luck and have fun! Report back how it went.
Oh, I grew up in the 90's... I played, and won tournaments, in the trading card game and others (such as Yu-Gi-Oh) before graduating to Magic the Gathering in high school / college. All while playing numerous sports for my high school (don't want to sound like a COMPLETE nerd). I still have all my old cards. Perhaps one day they'll be worth something... Oh I can attest that these trading card games are a ripoff to parents. We were too poor to buy cards. I got in early when everyone had bad cards and was able to win tournaments and get more cards with the store credit I'd win. That's how I got all my cards for all the trading card games. $5/pack in the 90's for 1 good card and a ton of crap ones... Total ripoff.Quote: ThatDonGuyApparently, there are two different events; one is for Pokemon Sun and Moon (for the Nintendo 3DS), and another is for the trading card game (think of it as a "dumbed down" version of Magic: the Gathering with Pokemon creatures).
The timing was good because a couple years later the card market collapsed.

Watching Don West and Ken Goldin scam the public on Shop at Home back in the late 90's/early 2000's was comedy gold.
Agua Caliente & Spa Resort have full-pay UX (Agua 10x.25 DDB 9/6, Spa 5x.25). With 0.167% pts, it's over 100%.
Soboba, Pala (no multiplier days), Valley View ($1 and below, .25% pts, higher on some special days), Barona (MAX 3x pt days) have good VP.
San Manuel pay-tables are only good at $2 & higher.

Yes its a trading card game. I personally don't play the game, ( I play "Magic the Gathering".) its more of a younger generation millennia game. My fiance's cousin who lives in Peru travels all over the world to play in these tournaments. He's 15 years old.

Romes, if you still have your old magic cards, the multilands are selling between $150-$300 on eBay. I just recently sold mine and made around $2,500. Obviously, if you have any mox's those sell for thousands.

This post is about a year old now. The multilands(AKA Dual Lands) stabworld is talking about have all gone up from 30-130% since this post was made...I am lucky to own the one that went up 130%..i bought it 2 years ago for around $45, I could sell it today for 120-150ish But its being played in a deck, so not gonna sell it yet.
Early Magic The Gathering cards is pretty hit or miss. Revised booster packs are still pretty common to buy compared to Alpha/Beta/Unlimited. They go from 120-200+ for 1 pack..The kicker is, out of the 121 Rares in the set (you only get one rare per pack) 11 of them are Worth more than $130 (All the Dual Lands & Wheel)...And about 20 of them being $5-$30...Also, the way the packs were made, you can see some of the cards with a flashlight..so people usually dont buy individual packs anymore because they can find out whats in them. You can spend upwards of 20,000 on a sealed box though

Multilands are so simple in terms of what it does, but so damn useful in any deck.

Yep. I usually avoid building legacy/vintage decks that require more than 1 of them...soooooo expensive lol..if I really need to play it then I'll proxy if the TO allows it
