Now I'm wondering, what kind of a person leaves three juicy 2X multipliers at a dollar denom for me? First of all, a very nice person, I'll say that for sure.
Then I'm thinking, yesterday was Mothers Day. I bet it was someone's sweet little 87-year old clueless mother. What a dear lady. God bless her little ploppy soul.
So sad ;-)

I've been chastised about taking phone pics at this casino at least a few times. Seems as soon as I hit a sign-up hand they must have me on the camera. I say, yeah, I took a picture, so what? They have even made me delete them before. So I stopped doing it. But if I had been dealt pat quads this morning, I probably would have taken a pic anyway. That would have been cool, more than just $80. But I'll take it. So sorry, I'll just have to gtfo.

Couldn't. Her walker was in the way.

I went yesterday with my family. Walking with all of them, I avoid getting carded. At the last minute the lady at the door, asked me how old I was, I said "36", kept walking, and didn't get asked for ID. Not sure why they do that and not ID me. Then my family got yelled at by the same lady for taking a picture of themselves inside the casino. If she was going to be that anal, why didn't she card me? I told them not to delete the pic since she yelled it from a distance. lol
And that didn't stop me from taking a pic of my one and only play I found. But I barely looked and mostly hung out with my brother instead. I've only been told not to twice (once there) out of 500 or more pics across the country.

I still take pictures, Like I was playing Super 8 Race a few months ago and got all 9 yellow cars. Well heck, I had to take a picture of THAT. But it was only worth $400 so no one bothered me. Basically the times I get jammed up is when they come to me with a W-2G in their hand, apparently they zero in on me when that jackpot gets signaled, and there I am taking a pic. And THAT'S usually a good pic that needs taking.
But I have resolved to myself that if I ever hit something big, and I mean REALLY big, I ain't taking no picture. At worst, they might use it to 86 me, I just ain't risking it when the money is big.
I've got a couple pics that THEY took of me holding some big check they give you. I guess that's ok. But I don't see what the difference is. If it's big enough, they even put your mug up on the wall and on their website. And you agree to something like that, for the casino's publicity. Ah, it's no big deal.
Nowadays most places realize it's harmless and futile to try to stop it. So as long as you're not filming camera positions or pits they aren't going to care. Obviously there are exceptions. Personally, I think a casino is insane for trying to prevent someone from uploading a winning photo to social media.
I haven't had any problems taking pictures, even outside NV, but I don't ask the machine to say cheese.
I oftentimes do it directly in front of floor. One may have said something like, do it quickly, I didn't see anything.
If it's something that's an issue , there's app's that disguises it so it looks like you're texting or something.

Maybe I should stop using flash bulbs.
860 dollars?
Quote: WizardofnothingNot sure what we are looking at? Is that a progressive for hitting all fruit?
860 dollars?
Yup. And I'm pretty proud of it. It took all the skill I could muster to hit that thing. A record for me.
Y'gotta know how to do it right. Try rubbing your hand in circles on the screen and tapping it to encourage it to stop on a fruit symbol. That's right, I am king of the APs. Bow down before me.

Yep. When I made an unexpected Aces w/kicker at quarters last year, I got excited enough to attract the attention of a random slot attendant (it was a Monday afternoon in Tunica...haha). Once that happened, I felt the need to ask permission to take the pic. He said, "I won't say anything". And for slots/VP...that should be the current attitude, imo.
Thanks Resorts Tunica! <--- The reason why a casino should ignore pictures. It's usually positive advertising.
I would assume the whole no taking pictures thing was mainly in place to help prevent someone from getting a layout of the casino, because it would make it easier to pull off some heist? I do remember when they were very strict about pictures, and using a cell phones anywhere within site of the sports book.Quote: tringlomaneYep. I was just thinking about this the other day when I walked by someone clicking away on a laptop in the sports book. I had done a double take and reminded myself it's welcome nowadays. I remember getting harassed in a casino restaurant having a laptop going. It was also a big production taking one through the airport.
Still is unless you grease the palm of the gubmint for $85 for TSA-PREQuote: AxelWolfI was just thinking about this the other day when I walked by someone clicking away on a laptop in the sports book. It was also a big production taking one through the airport.

Not just the layout, but especially the position of security cameras.
Media then any possibly Robery
Yes, They make you take it out and put it in it's own tub. I'm getting fast at getting it out and in the tub and getting all my crap thought while holding my pants up with one hand.Quote: DeMangoStill is unless you grease the palm of the gubmint for $85 for TSA-PRE
What's the benefit of that Pre TSA thing? What do you have to do? Do they have a comp line or something? I think I should look at it because I'm traveling often.
Perhaps we need to fly AP Airlines.

The $85 covers five years, so $17 per year. You have to go get fingerprinted and fill out some info.
I love it. If you're traveling often, I can't imagine not having it.
Advantages: dedicated security line which is typically shorter and faster, leave shoes on, leave electronics in bag, leave belt on, leave jacket on, don't have to remove liquids (though they still need to be <3 ounces).
For $100 instead of $85, there is also Global Entry which is like Precheck for international travel, and which includes the standard Precheck. I don't have that, though.
There is a small basket and there's a much larger tub. I am not going to ask. I'm gonna go deal some cards ;-)Quote: AxelWolfYes, They make you take it out and put it in it's own tub. A lot of the good benefits were laid out by Golden Sun, but as someone who flies half a dozen times per year, I'm still pretty sure I'm going to get this. There's only been a few times where construction or something has forced everyone to 1 gate, causing a 2 hour delay, whilst I watch the Pre-Check people go in to a line with 2 people and they're gone. That would be worth it alone.Quote: AxelWolf...What's the benefit of that Pre TSA thing? What do you have to do? Do they have a comp line or something? i.e. no having to hold wads of cash in your hand or even pull them out of your own pockets for that matter. They just put you through the old metal scanner or wand you usually.Quote: MrGoldenSunMore to add to my last post: you can hang on to your wallet and keys, and you can leave your watch on. The only thing they ask you to take out of your pockets is your cell phone.
Screening for Passengers 75 and Older
Passengers 75 and older can receive some form of expedited screening through risk-based intelligence-driven security that allows TSA to better focus resources on passengers who more likely pose a risk.
Screening Benefits
You may leave on your shoes and light jacket during screening.
If you alarm during security screening, you may be required to remove your shoes for further screening or undergo a pat-down. You can request to be seated during this portion of the screening.
Passengers 75 and older who are unable to stand for screening will be screened through other security methods.
Not a big trade off for all dem virgins in heaven ;-)

This is a good point, also table game pics for similar cheating ideas, but anyone with a smartphone pointed directly at a slot/vp machine shouldn't be questioned. And a vast majority of the time, I'm not.
