Now that we have a full casino close by, we've been going pretty often.
I love playing VP and thought I had a pretty good understanding of JoB but with the bonus games I'm not exactly sure.
Which of these is the better game?
The top has double the payouts for 4 of a kind but the bottom has better payouts for the flushes, fullhouse and straight.
Double Bonus:
Royal: 250
Straight Flush: 50
4 Aces: 160
4 2-4: 80
5-King: 50
FullHouse: 7
Flush: 5
Straight: 4
3 of a Kind: 3
2 pair: 1
JoB: 1
OR...
Bonus:
Royal: 250
Straight Flush: 50
4 Aces: 80
4 2-4: 40
5-King: 25
Full House: 10
Flush: 8
Straight: 5
3 of a kind: 3
2 pair: 1
JoB: 1
Thank you very much!

The Wizard has evaluated oodles of VP games over at his sister site, wizardofodds.com. Here is a link to the VP page on that site: https://wizardofodds.com/videopoker
I think you'll easily be able to find your answer there (as well as the payback on several similar games).

They're both pretty horrible and I don't recommend playing either of them. Are you in PA?

And here after looking at the Wizard of Odds payout tables, I was thinking that the bonus game was pretty good lol.
It appears to have better payouts than the 8/5 bonus table has since it's a 10/8 machine. The only flaw I see is that it pays 1 for 2 pair instead of 2 but it seems like that's what I always have found, even in Vegas.
We do play nickel for the most part with some quarter thrown in, maybe stepping up to quarters would change our odds then.

No. Bonus Poker pays 2 for 1 on the two pair, and 8/5 on the full house/flush. Any other versions of this game aren't worth playing. I would stick to nickels if you want to lose less.

That's a flaw worth over 12%. If that paytable paid 2 for two pair, it would have a player edge of over 6%. As is, it has a house edge of over 5%.
