I may add that they have JOB 9/6 there, but no really good Deuces. Not sure if this makes a difference when playing so few hands.
Quote: wernerwIf I want to play my Loss back promotion at the Cosmo in the high limit room, 10$ Videopoker (50$ a hand), and if I am happy with ANY win (because I can come back tomorrow), should I choose JOB or Deuces Wild? 9/6 Jacks has the higher EV and lower variance.

Yeah, but with traditional loss rebates, variance is your friend, so 9/6 Double Double Bonus is also an option. But if he is willing to quit a winner and attempt on future days (allowed with this promo), I would think you would also want to play 9/6 Jacks for this reason because quitting a winner is beneficial with this promo. I would need to program a sim though to be sure which game is better...blah. Deuces is out of the question for the loss phase though.
Save playing deuces for when you eventually lose the $100 and have to play out the freeplay. They offer 98.91% penny deuces for a minimum of $1 per round out on the casino floor. Just play 20 hands of penny deuces per round 100 times and you've cycled through the freeplay.

well, 5x25 = 125, this is why I would go for the 10$ machines.

I don't know how to play the DDB, so the options for me are JoB or DW where I know the strategy.
So I did not get which option I should choose from.
In case of loss, I will try the penny deuces

They have a $25 2 credit slot machine. My friend hit it for $850 on his first spin going for this promotion. The slot machine is likely a better bet than VP...Higher Variance.
LOL.... you are playing only a few hands any strategy will do.Quote: wernerwI don't know how to play the DDB, so the options for me are JoB or DW where I know the strategy.

Quote: AxiomOfChoiceWhat's this loss back promotion?
Any member of Cosmo's "Identity Club" can lose $100 once in their life in a single gaming day (at least until the promo ends) and get the $100 back in freeplay. Unlike many other loss promos, your losses don't have to be claimed on the first day of membership, so there is a benefit of quitting a winner. My g/f quit a small winner about 5 times I think before losing.

you might be right. OK, you are right.

Depends on the variance and the return of the slot, which unfortunately is difficult to determine without inside info.

Oh, cool. Not bad -- I'd definitely play it if I was there... but also probably not worth a trip to the Cosmo from somewhere else.

I misunderstood the OP's question. I thought he was talking about freeplay. Sorry.

Does this only apply to video games, or tables as well? Do we finally have a use for the martingale?

Non-progressive slots or video poker only I believe. Still worth it though even if you never really play these games.
And as for the martingale, haha, it might not be a terrible strategy since you can quit a winner with this and come back. I doubt it's optimal though, the larger the bet unit is, the less the house edge would grind on the rebate.
