Here is the pay table before taking any prize into consideration for the 5 cent deuces wild game.

Full House......... 15

St Flush.............65

I would appreciate any comments about this promotion and any departures from normal play to max this game. This promotion is on for only 3 days of the week and for only 4 hours on those days, but it is quite common to see a husband and wife team easily win 50 cases of pop in those 4 hours. One case equals 4 six packs of pop so that is 200 six packs of pop. The casino has been buying back the pop at $5.00 a case, but you are much better off taking the pop, but on the other hand there is only so much pop you can drink.
Quote: MidwestPlayerI have come across a video poker promotion that makes this game a positive expected value game. The casino is giving away a small prize every time you get 4 of a kind or any combination thereof. The prize is only worth $2.85 (6 pack of pop). The game everyone is playing is 5 cent deuces wild with max bet. You are required to make the max bet to be eligible for the prize. Of course, the deuces count towards you 4 of a kind so you get 4 of a kind quite often. Also 5 of a kind, 4 deuces, and even a straight flush and royal flush with 3 deuces all qualify for the 4 of a kind prize.

If I'm reading this right you got 'em by the you know what! To hell with packing and stacking cases of pop. Too labor intensive. Take the money. The payscale you listed is called Illinois Deuces by some, Colorado Deuces by others. At $5.00 a case you essentially have a 4 of a kind that's worth 9 for 1. That would make it about a 130% game, plus the add-on for the higher hands. Are you sure that all you have to play is 5-coin nickels? This play is worth $45 or $50 an hour with no down side. Only a blind person could lose at this game.
With the right strategy you'll make a 4 of a Kind, natural or wild, about every 15 games. With 2 deuce hands only hold a 4SF if there is no gap. With 1 deuce hands don't hold any SF3's. And only hold RF3's like WJT, WQT, WQJ, to hell with the rest.
Rip 'em a new butthole!!!
As DRich said, this probably wont last long once they see what is happening.
Quote: tringlomaneYeah I was confused on what the size of the soda was from this. A 6-pack of 12oz cans is usually a rip in the store, so it may very well be valued at $2.85 retail. And the casino offering to buy it back for $5/case is fair for 12oz cans. Definitely play deuces as long as you can here.
The $2.85 retail price for a 6 pack includes a 10 cent deposit on each can. The cans are 12 oz. You can redeem the cans and get 10 cents for each one. Getting the pop is the better deal except there is only so much pop you can drink, and pop doesn't last forever. There are expiration dates on the cans. I think most local folks already have stacks of 20 to 30 cases at home so they are now starting to take the money instead. If I stack any more cases on my kitchen table its going to collapse.

The Pioneer in Laughlin used to have promotions where they gave away six-packs of beer and pop for any jackpot of 125 coins or more. On the unlinked Flush Attacks, besides the quad hits and higher, you made a 125 coin flush every 220 hands. One friend of mine sold the six-packs at a Flea Market.
I personally wouldn't take the six-packs unless I had a way to sell them. But I still don't like the labor involved. Taking the money is a way to build bankroll and throw down on an even higher play when it comes along.
