I'm guessing there are royalties to be paid to Action Gaming, so they bump the revenue a little.
Yep. Somebody's got to pay for Ernie Moody's private jet:Quote: CrystalMathI'm guessing there are royalties to be paid to Action Gaming, so they bump the revenue a little.
I would tend to believe its because they don't want you getting out a ton of volume on a better pay game. I also believe multi-hand VP is way more addictive causing less of a need for the casino to make them as good. its almost like asking why are double bonus type games more popular then 9/6 now. I believe the only reason casinos ever had 9/6 was they thought that the slower people lost the longer they would play thinking that their money seemed to be lasting longer. Its also hard for the casinos to run promotions when they have good pay multi-line VP.Quote: gaming4titoWhy are multi-hand pay tables typically worse than their single hand counterparts?

Some good points, AxelWolf. To your first point, I'll add that Bodine's Casino in Carson City backed all of their 25₵ JOB 9/6 Ten-Plays (a couple of years ago?) after someone hit a dealt royal during a heavy multiplier. I believe that they are all 9/5 now...? Perhaps a coincidence, and I know that one example does not prove the rule. I could swear I've noticed or heard about this kind of thing elsewhere in the area, but I can't recall at this time. With the economy during the last couple of years, not all of the casinos even know which end is up!
FWIW, Bodine's is a small-medium local casino, and according to Casino City has about 290 slots and a sportsbook (no tables).
