VPFREE2 only has one entry for 99.95 Pickem Poker, and I'm not very familiar with the Strategy for that one. It also says $ 80 coin-in per point, and I'd prefer to rack up some tier credits at a faster rate than that. IF I recall correctly from a couple of years ago, they had either 8/5 or 8/6 JoB.
thanks...
Quote: IbeatyouracesI believe the best they have for JoB is maybe 8/5 and that'll be on dollars and up. Only Greektown and Motorcity across the river have 9/6 JoB starting at the quarter level.
But that's NOT what I wanted to hear ! ! !
Your best bet is to play the pickem. The strategy is the easiest to learn of any video poker game, in my opinion. Compared to playing 8/5 or 8/6 you won`t earn as many reward credits but you will be playing a much better game.Quote: JohnnyQAnyone know what Caesar's Windsor has for JoB VP ?

Nice work!
Once in 2002 I hit 13 quads in 11 hours of play, I also went 23 hours of play without one.Ah the good old days
Quote: HunterhillYou never hit a quad! You must not have played it much, though I know it is much harder to hit a quad than on JOB type games.

Nah, I didn't actually live in STL then. Harrah's was inbetween the Univ. of Illinois (where I was) and the Univ. of Missouri (where my ex was at the time) and I stopped there occasionally after visiting her.
I finally did get quads at Pick 'em last year at River City. I was showing the game to my friend because no other consecutive VP units were open and he really never played video poker. But since it was a crappy 2-3-4 paytable, I was just playing nickels...grrr.

Actually Caesars has plenty of Quarter 8/5 machines too. The Quarter JoB Machines are pretty much a 50/50 split between 7/5 and 8/5.
With Windsor hurting for business, I'm surprised they don't have 9/6 just so that they could advertise the low house edge. In reality, only a small percentage of people bother to learn optimal strategy. If players are using incorrect strategy, I'd imagine the vig is through the roof even on a 9/6 machine.
Also of note, at Greektown, the 9/6 JoB Video Poker machines aren't eligible for their free play (they call it "Bonus Play") promotions, meaning if you get a $20 voucher for slot play, you have can't use it on a 9/6. I'm sure this is common at many casinos. It is however valid at all other VP machines (including 8/6 JoB).
A few weeks ago, I parked in the Greektown garage for the Tiger game and was given a $10 Free Play voucher. I put it in an 8/6 JoB machine and quickly hit a few three of a kinds and got a full house. When my free play credits ran out, I cashed out with $45. A very small win, but not bad for not wagering a penny of my own money.
Quote: IbeatyouracesTo use it on 9/6 at GT you have to use the six machines in the third room (the one with the flat walkway across the gap) and select the 50¢ denomination. Otherwise on quarters its the 500/1000/1500/2000/2500 royal.
Very interesting. I'll try that out next time I'm at Greektown. I've always found the layout there to be very confusing. I'll find a bank of machines tucked away in a corner somewhere, then I'll never be able to find it again. So many nooks and crannies. I guess that's one of the side effects of adaptive reuse of old structures.
