Every four years the vpFREE adds somebody to their Video Poker Hall of Fame. Before they went to the every four years basis, I was inducted in 2007. I hear I beat Tom Ski by one vote.

Who would you vote to be the 2012 inductee? The forum allows only up to ten choices, so please see page 2 for seven more choices. Between the two polls, please vote once only.

I bet there's a "10" in the source code somewhere that you can change...

I only know about half those names, and honestly, I don't think any of them rate "hall of fame" status. Everyone I would put in the hall of fame is already there. No need to add someone just for the sake of doing so every four years. Some years the Baseball Hall of Fame doesn't induct anyone.

That said, if I had to choose it would be Ernie Moody, 'cause I think multiplay video poker is awesome.

I'd second that recommendation. Who better than Ernie himself? What a nice guy too!

I'm with teddys on this one. I can't believe that Ernie Moody is not already in the hall of fame.
I heart Crystal Math.

I don't know how any of those people could possibly rate above Ernie Moody. I'm shocked that he isn't already in the HOF.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

He's also arguably the most successful individual game inventor of all time. Maybe the three card poker guy comes close. (Nah, no he doesn't). If you measure success through financial gain, which most people do, he's number one.

Anybody that knows this stuff has too much time on their hands.

His base of knowledge served him well as a two-time Jeoapardy champion.

Knows what stuff? That Ernie Moody invented multiplay VP? The Wizard drove me by his house in Summerlin and told me who he was. It was huge, and it is only one of his many houses. This is in addition to the jet, etc. We can only aspire to be like this guy. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but you've won a ton of money on his games! :)

I don't know the other people on the list nor do I care. Everybody who should be in the VP HoF (Dancer, Scott, Shackleford, Paymar, Frome Sr.) is there. Moody is cool but maybe not HoF worthy. The people I mentioned are the ones who discovered VP is a beatable game, and worked out the first strategies for games like JoB and DW. Without them, there wouldn't be any AP VP as we know it.

True! I would agree with Dancer, Scott, and Shack...

I voted for Elliot Frome as his were the first books I read regarding proper strategy. I also wrote to him once and he wrote back, so that means he must be in the HOF.

Another vote for Ernie. And yeah, I don't think Webb's net worth (although I am sure impressive) is in the same ballpark as Moody.
