I plan to write a trip report of my visit to Las Vegas just before Christmas.
We stayed at Wynn for 4 days/3 nights and played exclusively at Wynn and Encore.
I am too lazy to write these days and my English writting is pretty bad, that's why
I still don't have the report yet. But I still plan to write down something and post it here.
If I am asked to summarize it in one word about my overall impression of Wynn/Encore
from a tourist/vacationer/visiting-gambler's point of view, I would say "disappointing".
If I give stars (0-5), I would say:
hotel: 4-5
casino: 3
food: 2 (only considering the quality/varity/service, not the price)
tourist value: 2

I will update this thread whenever I write down something about my trip.
Any comment is welcome regardless it's related to this topic or not.
This site is supposed to be a travel guide for Vegas, but the forum doesn't have enough posts about
traveler's review/feedback about each and every casino/hotel/place.
The official reviews are all very good, but people also want to hear about other visitors' experiences.
I somehow feel it's the weak point of this site.
If everyone makes a little contribution here or there, it can make a big difference.
Just my 2 cents.

Personally, my feeling is trip reports should be posted under Blogs. Perhaps there would be a way to combine blogs with personal reports for easier access to the information.
I don't have a problem with people posting trip reports on here, but I just feel they're more appropriate in the blog section.
PS I will do my Tunica trip next week as a blog report! And this time, I'll finish it...

Tiltpoul, you have a very good point.
The main question is how to see other people's blogs.
At least I don't know unless someone posts a link here.
My rule is that if anything (posts, articles, reviews, whatever) doesn't have a link somewhere in
the front page sometime, it doesn't exist.

Hmmm.... Maybe that's why the blog feature isn't used much.Quote: pokerfaceMy rule is that if anything (posts, articles, reviews, whatever) doesn't have a link somewhere in

On the flip side, why does it get used so much by newbies?
FYI: Near the top of the front page is a section on the latest blogs. If you click on the heading, Latest Blog Posts, you'll be brought to a page listing the blogs.
The thing is, blogs are not intended to have a long dialog. Therefore, the blog listing is not as intuitive as it should be.

Thanks DJ!
On my screen, I don't see any link of "Latest Blog Posts". Maybe it's just my problem. I don't know.
On the front page between two bodog ads, there are total six boxes:
on the left side from top to bottom:
Latest Hotel Reviews
Latest Articles
Latest Show Reviews
on the right side:
Featured Gaming Guides
Free Paly Games
Latest Forum Posts
That's all.
