Casinos dropping cover charges

I'm getting emails today from casinos dropping their cover charges for being at bar parties for New Year's Eve.
A couple of years ago these places had $75 and $100 cover charges. They're zero now.

$100 to be at a NYE party? What are people? On dope?
My old army buddy, Danny, has invited me for something big on the strip tonight. Sounds more fun.
More serious, I can never believe how many people pay how much for casino nightclubs. I guess I just never liked that scene.

I haven't been to Resorts World when they're thumping their beats but I'm guessing you should plan on losing $5K just on the party drinks.
