I picked up my chips to recount them at a nearby slot machine and dropped them again after I counted $20 short. So I cashed out $16 ahead instead of $36 ahead.
When I was driving out of the casino parking lot I noticed some severe thunderstorm clouds in the fields beyond the red light; then my radar detector went off with the letters LASER screaming at me. What is this? Did I break a 15 mph speed limit? Where's the cop? Is the casino photo ID'ing my license plate?
As far as points on my loyalty card, they just added 60 points based on my table buy-in the day before. I had 121 entries available in some drawing but I don't know how to use points yet. I check the card kiosk on my way into the casino, and I'm not always sure how to swipe the card so it tells me "We can't find your account." so I have to swipe again, and again and again until it asks for my PIN number. If I don't touch the touchscreen within like every 15 seconds it logs me out of my account screen.
As far as my craps game, I turned $60 into $144 betting mostly Passline on a warm table, but lost nearly $50 back on the last 4 shooters. I was stick-left first time up and shot a decent hand while throwing left-handed for the first time. Then some old geezers kept cutting in and pushing me down the line until I was at the end of the table and by the time I got my 2nd shot after 2 hours, I P7O and quit.
I'm hoping I can double my session money with each 7 wins I'm ahead using a progression. I could turn $60 to $960 with 28 wins. I'll probably restart at a minimum buy-in each new day though.
You can exchange your small denomination chips for larger ones before you leave the table. At the craps table, just stack all your chips in front of you on the felt, and tell the dealer you want to "color up." They will give you your full amount back, using the least possible number of chips*.Quote: ChumpChangeI guess I could bring an empty little Hillshire Farms meat bucket to put my chips in next time?
E.g., $96 dollars = 8 chips total (3 x $25, 4 x $5, 1 x $1)

The one other card you didn't recognize was probably the optical scan test card for the shuffler. If you noticed it had a lot of random spots, especially yellow ink, on it, that's what it was.

I was hoping the dealer would refuse to color them up when they were done, but didn't stick around for it.
I would not trust a casino that refuses to let a table being opened up be watched. What are they trying to hide. Shuffling is supposed to be done in public view. They may not want you to put your chips on the felt but they should not try to chase you away.
Quote: FleaStiffyes, safer and easier to color up.

He didn't say he couldn't watch. He said he had to step away. It's pretty common to not allow players to be seated at or standing right at the table during blackjack card changing or reviewing new decks.

Is a Loyalty Card the same thing as a Player's Card? If so, you can just ask Player's Club Employee to give you a couple of new ones. :)
Quote: ChumpChangeSo what do craps high rollers do when they want to buy-in for $10,000, double-up in an hour or two and go home? Taxes seem to require leaving the table a winner each day, so an easy win goal seems like the solution. Do high rollers just bring that in cash, and go home with cash, or do they leave the money at the front desk for the next day? How much should you leave at the front desk in case you are trespassed for no reason anyway? Do they wire it to and from their bank account every day?
There are no taxes withheld for buying in or cashing out regular craps winnings. You could turn $100 into $50,000 and no taxes would be taken.
High rollers usually use markers rather than carrying cash. They deposit money with the casino.

What's it called when I just leave winnings at the desk and use that instead of markers, or would that be markers on front money with no credit application needed?
What was going on in that brain of yours that caused the problem?
Was it organic, alcoholic or narcotic?
Whatever, that sort of thing does not usually happen: I'd be concerned if I were you.
I get 1 free beer when I gamble, for a buck. I haven't had a beer in decades.
I have a rubber band around my wallet, and the pit gave me my card back and I just put it in my pocket instead of my wallet. So when I went to the cage I put the card on the counter, and I must've forgotten to put it in my wallet when I got distracted by getting my first $100 bill.
Earlier in the day, I forgot to bring my loyalty card to the gas station, and I had to ask the cashier how to pump gas. She said "Well, I can sign you up for a new card. Which card do you have? The one that debits your bank account or the cash discount card?"
I said I didn't have the debit card, and that the discount was only a buck, so how do I pump gas without the card?
She said I had to prepay for gas. I gave her a 50. She said pump the gas, then come back in and get your change (while other people stand in line to buy beer).
I found the information on my Player's Card at home, and after 3 days of gambling I have nearly 500 points (each 100 points is worth $1?), and if I get another 1500 points I'll be eligible for a card upgrade. Can they give me a replacement card with the same number, or give me a new one with a different number and transfer all the information from the old one to the new one?

A lot of regular high limit players may never buy in or cash out. They will have a safety deposit box and just keep racks of chips in them. I use to see six figure and million dollar boxes at the Bellagio poker room

People lose those cards all the time. Just go to the Player's Club, give them photo ID, and they'll print you new ones for the same account you signed up with. Ask for 2, they'll give them to you. Takes 2 minutes.

Quote: mcallister3200But what if you leave your gas station, Walgreens (tm), Old Navy loyalty card etc on the casino cashier counter. What then? Armageddon (tm)?
Unless your name was on it, contact the issuer for a new card. If your name was on it ask at the place where you put it down.
Quote: ChumpChangeI wonder if there's a Lost And Found at the casino.
Of course casinos have a Lost and Found. I lost my cell phone at a casino and was able to retrieve it the next day at the Security office.

Were there any green chips in there?

Last month I went to the cashiers cage where I lost my card, she said if they found it they'd throw it out. She directed me to go to the player's club desk to get a new one. They too said it would have been thrown out if found, and they made me a new card for the same account and it had all my points. They even gave me a stringy thingy to use when playing slots so I don't forget my card.
Thanks for helping out.
