The craps survey needs to be changed.
Casino Royale no longer offers 100x odds. There is no longer a reason to go into that dump, especially with their tight slots, 6-5 21 game, and crabby craps dealers and floormen.
The Cromwell offers 100x odds, however, minimum bet is $10.

I play pass+odds and come bet + odds.
Here's a view from the Cromwell party pit. It's all 6-5 BJ in this pit.

6-5 blackjack is infesting Vegas. It's all over the place. But the crazy thing is that people continue to play it like crazy. The logic I heard from a few patrons was that, if you're gonna win, you're gonna win, a few dollars isn't going to make a difference.
Oh, well.

Btw, here is that Gamblit skill game. Not many people playing it, but the people I saw playing were the targeted young people.

Today I'll go take some pics of the Lucky Dragon casino and check it out.
Edit: does anyone know why my pics aren't up? Can a mod put the pics up?

Please start a new thread if you get to visit Lucky Dragon - I missed a visit on my recent Apr trip, and no one's posted anything since the opening last Dec 2016. Perhaps it's not worth visiting ?????. Good joss!Quote: klimate10Today I'll go take some pics of the Lucky Dragon casino and check it out.
Very slow. Only one person gambling.
Also some of the items at the Bao restaurant is out. Bad preparation.

I have never had a problem with photobucket. I think he is picking the wrong link. They give you 4 options of links.

there must be a delay or something, because when i did it before the direct link would not work and now it does.
I had a pit boss tell me I had a comp, but when I went to the restaurant right now, the restaurant told me I didn't have a comp. So I went down to the host who said she couldn't give me a comp, which then led me to point out that the boss 'over there' said I had a comp. So they gave me my comp.
The bad part is that the dealers are like genuine Chinese dealers, in that they speak very bad English and are not very friendly.
It's Saturday 515 pm and I'm here posting this. There are like maybe 20 players. Very dead.
If anyone wants to see pics, pm me and I'll email them to you and you can post the pics.
There really is no reason to come to the Lucky Dragon.
Also, can't seem to walk away a winner.
Quote: MrVWhat is their VIP gaming area on the second level like?
If you're asking about the Lucky Dragon, then the answer is no. The VIP room is open and on the first floor. There weee like 5 people in the VIP room. Min bet on the EZ bac in the high limit room was $300.
The second floor seems not yet finalized. Not much going on up on the second floor, other than the Pearl Ocean restaurant and the bar. I didn't see any games on the second floor.
Quote: ahiromuCromwell is wonderful and the rooms are superb. Dealers are very hit or miss though.
Also, can't seem to walk away a winner.
I notice that Cromwell dealers at the craps tables can be tip hustlers.
I heard one dealer say to the table, 'feel free to tip us'.
Another dealer said rather passive aggressively, 'wow not even a dollar', in reference to a customer coloring out something like $501, and not leaving the spare dollar.

I'd tell them this..."As soon as your company (Caesars) gets rid of 6:5 blackjack and brings back nothing but 3:2, then I'll start tipping."
Just left the Cosmopolitan, where they had $25 tables playing 6-5. People didn't seem to mind. I couldn't see any signs indicating 6-5. I only knew when the dealer paid someone $120 on a $100 BJ. That extra $30 goes right to the company bottom line.
Cosmopolitan seems to have a lot of occupied tables. But it seems that each table has only 1 or 2 players, making he casino seem busier than in actuality. Nice trick to make the casino seem busier.
Quote: klimate10Waking around the strip. I see so much 6-5 blackjack.

I don't even think the employees at Cosmo wear any identification (name tags, license, etc.). At least they didn't when I was last there. That's scary.
Quote: klimate10The Lucky Dragon is nothing special. It's a small casino with bad customer service and an empty feel.

so the genuine Chinese dealers speak bad English. How is your Cantonese?????
Vegas has gotten so greedy, nickel and dining guests.
3-2 blackjack is actually had to find, especially if on the strip. As I walked from the Cromwell to the Linq, almost every BJ table I saw was 6-5.
Parking is no longer free at a lot of casinos on the strip. I don't see any alleged improvements from paid parking.
The food is outrageously priced.
The rooms are expensive.
The buffet food is of Golden Coral quality, but at 2x to 3x the price.
Casino Royale now has 3, 4, 5x odds. That's a sad sign of the times.
It wouldn't surprise me if one day they started charging admission to the casinos.

On a busy weekend, I saw a bunch of $50 tables at the Bellagio that were 6:5. It has become outrageous. You're right about that $30 going to the company's bottom line. Most of the gamblers who go to Vegas are casual and recreational gamblers. Playing 6:5 blackjack doesn't give them much of a fighting chance to play long before they slowly bleed out. I think most vacationers end up giving the casino $400-$500 in gambling one way or another, but 6:5 makes patrons eat up their money faster, less play, less rating, less comps, and etc. I had a good chat with an old school pit boss last year, and he bluntly said "sadly, 6:5 is here to stay permanently because people still play at the tables, and the casinos are not going change the odds to favor players unless everybody boycotts 6:5."

The last time I was at Soaring Eagle in mid Michigan, a guy and his girlfriend had a 6:5 single decker reserved with a $300 minimum.

I'm not surprised for single deck. I think the only single deck that pays 3:2 right now is the El Cortez. Unless somebody knows a different place.
great!
>>>> having fun.
Even better.
>>>>Casino Royale no longer offers 100x odds.
First they de-emphasized it by removing the signage and changing the times, now its simply gone rather than merely discouraged.
>>>>The Cromwell offers 100x odds, however, minimum bet is $10.
Heck, there ain't many places in Vegas where you can get anything less than $15, so be happy that the minimum there is 10. Sure, I would prefer 5 but there comes a time when you have to start thinking 'car' rather than 'horseless carriage'.
>>>>I play pass+odds and come bet + odds.
So do I, but not at 100x. Ain't got it and sure wouldn't bet it all in one roll if I did.
>>>>Here's a view from the Cromwell party pit.
Sorry but the word "view" in relation to a party pit means a photo of female anatomy.
>>>>It's all 6-5 BJ in this pit.
Yeah, it often is, but just look at those nice large letters on the table than announce the 6:5 instead of the teensy weensy type on some off to the side table sign. Nice place that does it that way. Other casinos in Vegas don't do it that way and Seminole casinos in Florida are downright misleading in everything they do. So you be happy that The Cromwell is upfront about it and doesn't try to hide it from their customers. It is an unfortunate situation that it is 6:5 but it is great that it is done openly and honestly. I'll take Cromwell over any Seminole Dump any day. I do not have any idea why the Evil Empire suddenly changed its style when it came to the Cromwell.
>>>>6-5 blackjack is infesting Vegas.
It sure is. We all hate it too, but ... .

Never underestimate the power of free booze.
Quote: SiegfriedRoyI'm not surprised for single deck.
But reserved with a $300 minimum? Their 6 deck shoe is 3:2 & usually $10.
On a Saturday night they had $10 Pai Gow poker. I was shocked.
Craps was $10, whereas the night before every table was $25 except for one, which was $10. Around midnight, all the craps tables reverted to $10.
A natural reaction for many is 'whoa, out of my comfort zone'. In fact although I have put up 2 black chips as a lay bet in odds myself, it's the kind of bet for me that makes me nervous and is a rarity.
Next we need to see the $1000 odds bet !!
I take my money off strip. Sam's Town has $5 craps all day long with at leas 10x odds. Full pay video poker (at least a few machines). Dealers aren't trying to hustle you. Same goes for GVR in Henderson. Decent sportsbook there and a better than average food court.
Oh, and did I mention no one's trying to gouge you for parking?
I can find $5 or $10 craps downtown without even thinking about it.
See you at Sam's Town when I arrive in Vegas Tuesday. You won't see me on the strip.
Quote: odiousgambitThat's your two black chip odds bet I guess.

That pic was literally my first bet. It was only my warm up bet. I was quite pleased when I found out they had 100x odds. I told the dealers I was going to CR for $5 craps and 100x odds, and that's when they broke the bad news to me about CR craps.
Here was the mayhem after I got settled.
I ended up going on a massive tear on a smoking hot table. There's nothing worse than being up huge and losing it all, so I called it a trip. I made sure that wasn't going to happen. I'm now home.
Btw, I didn't want to believe that Casino Royale got rid of 100x. So I went to check it out for myself. Here is proof. So sad. They only have one craps table.
Ignorance, spouses, desire for a 'fling' involving luxury and splendor, perceptions of safety, family films, etc.
>>I take my money off strip.
Good for you.
>> Sam's Town has $5 craps all day long with at least 10x odds.
And 10x is just fine for me and my bankroll.
>> Full pay video poker (at least a few machines).
Yeah, they don't like the machines getting hogged all day.
>> Dealers aren't trying to hustle you.

>>Decent sportsbook there and a better than average food court.
I wouldn't know about a sports book I only enter them as a 'tourist' and don't much like the cell phone rules.
Hustle for tips? Sometimes box men let it happen, sometimes not. Different places have different policies and different types of customers. I start off with a dealer tip and sometimes that triggers good behavior from other players and sometimes it triggers looks from the other players as if I were a space alien.
>Oh, and did I mention no one's trying to gouge you for parking?
Well, I never drive in Vegas... too many gawkers and drunkards and I'm too likely to be three sheets to the wind myself.
>>I can find $5 or $10 craps downtown without even thinking about it.
Some downtown casinos have crowds, noise and undesirables as far as I'm concerned.
And if I term someone as 'undesirable' they must be a total lowlife for sure.
I guess the good news for downtown Vegas is that the pricey strip is pushing everyone else to more budget friendly places like downtown.
The crowds downtown and the crowds on the strip now seem very different. The strip crowd is very bougie now, IMO. When I was a Vegas regular 10 years ago, I didn't remember that type of stratification. I wouldn't use the word 'undesirable'. That's kind of harsh, and I remember what it was like to be a poor college student.
Lots of these acts.
I payed at the Golden Gate, where they had $5 craps with 10x odds.
Here's probably the sexiest dancing pit girl in all of downtown.
Ok, unfair pic in a bad moment. Here's a better pic of her.
So the Golden Gate, a real dusty joint, didn't have a restaurant. I asked the pit boss for a comp because I was hungry, and he said that they didn't have a restaurant. But he would give me a comp to their sister property, the D. It was a 2 or three block distance that took like 15 minutes to walk because of the crowd.
