Recently made our annual trek home from Florida. Took a different path again this year. Wrote a bunch of reports and put them on HubPages. There's a cover report about Our Trip Home in 2017

There's three casino stops sandwiched in there.

Enjoy.

Don,

What a great trip report! FYI, when I was in the sixth grade (I'm about your age, I guess), I lived on Santa Rosa Island (about 5 miles from Destin, where your trip began). My school bus started its morning route in Destin. At that time, Destin was nothing more than a wide spot in the road with about 500 residents, compared to its current population of about 15,000, all sharing a VERY narrow island.

I've played at the Natchez and Tunica casinos, but it has been several years. It was nice to read your experience there. But, I cannot understand why anyone would go out of their way to eat fried bologna, apparently a favorite of yours.

When I was a kid we lived in Aurora, Indiana. Each year they'd have a Farmer's Fair which was a street fair that closed the streets in the small downtown area. One of the largest concessions (and therefore probably the busiest) was the Presbyterian Women's Club that sold nothing but bologna sandwiches.

Every since then, we occasionally had them at home and, of course, every time someone could find them in a restaurant.

(I turned 83 the day we left Destin)
