flys,
Are you referring to a report of your Biloxi trip? (I cannot seem to find it.) Your comment, "Had a blast," is a bit sparse regarding 6 days worth of details, don'cher know? Was this your first trip to Biloxi?
I'll be in Biloxi around the beginning of May, and I'll probably stay several days at the IP, so I'm interested in any updates about Biloxi gaming (at any of the Gulfcoast Mississippi casinos). Wazzup in Biloxi and vicinity?
Was your trip all about gaming? Did you see any performance attractions? Did you explore any new restaurants? Any gaming highlights to share? (Curious minds want to know...)
I guess I need to make a few more posts before I can post a link to my website. That's where the TR actually is...

Ummm... An Administrator could probably make a miracle occur. Floor, please! Help needed down around Biloxi...
Or, you might be able to finagle it somehow. Like: www dot trip-reports dot com slash down-around-biloxi (or similar).
I guess your earlier trip reports didn't try to link outside WoV. Naughty, naughty. But, I'm looking forward to your adventures.

I will first ensure that you are not a competing website in terms of advertising for Online Gambling. If that is the case, then I will post your link myself. Please PM it to me.
Oh, you're at 19, I see? Yeah, IBYA got it, just post one more time.
Well, shame on my ancient and doddering self or my ancient and doddering computer, but I can't find nuttin'.Quote: odiousgambitshame on anybody who can't find that link anyway
As usual, a fascinatingly busy report that was thoroughly enjoyable. I'm putting together a posting that will no way rival this one about our recent visit to that town.
Thanks for taking us along on your trip.

Wow! Great trip report.
So, folks say you should be able to post links now, having met the minimum requirements. (The link to your trip report shows whenever someone tries to post a reply. But, my preview shows your link now without the required format codes, so I dunno what's happening.) But, whatever a reader has to do to reveal your trip-report link, it's a fun read by two very enthusiastic gaming fans.
To see the format codes, click on the "Click here for formatting codes" link at the bottom of your message box when you create your original message. You have to format the link properly. You (normally) cannot just insert your internet link into the text and have it work correctly unless it has the right square-bracket formatting.
So, you have another trip scheduled in May?? Sounds like a great opportunity for a trip report.

I'm currently in Biloxi for a few days - anything specific you need to know?

Many thanx for the offer. There's probably nothing I NEED to know. But, I'm always interested in folks reporting their experiences in Gulfcoast Mississippi casinos.
If you happen by the Scarlet Pearl, I'd be interested in how busy their Cajun Stud table game is. If I recall correctly, it's about to finish a 90-day trial. I just received a flier from SP pointing out that it was the ONLY casino in Mississippi with this table game. (Other Mississippi casinos cannot have the game until it successfully completes its trial at SP.)
If you see any mechanical craps machines with the big bouncing dice, I'd enjoy knowing where you saw them.
Given that it's Easter, Passover, and Spring Break, I'd be interested in knowing whether the casinos were mostly full or mostly empty.
Otherwise, I'll enjoy anytning else you share about your Billoxi visit. Good luck.
Heck, if I owned a casino I'd promote any trial that was underway just to milk the "we are special" theme even if on the first day of the trial I had decided to ditch the new game. Let the trial run to conclusion and milk its advertising value. Doesn't have to be a good game.Quote: LuckyPhowI just received a flier from SP pointing out that it was the ONLY casino in Mississippi with this table game. Any AP edge involved. I would generally prefer a "real" craps game, one with a full size table, a full crew and preferably a few players who have better luck than I usually do. However, if there is an 'edge' then I'm flexible.

I was in Florida on Easter Sunday (ain't got no money or stamina to go anywhere else) but I can tell you that the casinos in Biloxi, Mississippi were full. Bible Belt or not. The casinos were full. Full in Florida, full everywhere. (I know someone who was at a Sunrise Service and also attended an Easter event at the local Seminole casino a few hours later).

I guess the Cajun Stud trial went reasonably well. Scarlet Pearl will soon have a Cajun Stud tournament. And, the table stayed pretty busy while I was there.
As I write this, I'm currently in Biloxi. Regarding "bouncing dice" electronic craps games, I have not seen a single one. Electronic roulette, yes. Electronic baccarat, yes. Electronic craps, no. I'm interested in the degree to which machines such as these are infiltrating casinos.

Well, your "reporter in the field" observed the following at the close of April: IP Casino is quite busy. Scarlet Pearl (with a VERY new parking garage) is moderately busy, as also is the Hard Rock casino. Harrahs Gulfcoast casino is (its usual) relatively empty, and the Golden Nugget casino is similarly empty as best I can tell. Island View casino was reasonably busy, as was the Treasure Bay casino.
I am also asking casinos how they do the payout when multiple hands result in the amount won by multiple players exceeds the "max payout" per round. Also, how they handle the payouts when a progressive jackpot is won with a second player having a straight flush in the same hand that qualifies for 10 percent of the prize pool. The issue: Does the second player get 10 percent of the "reset" progressive pot or 10 percent of the larger pot won by the progressive winner? Also, does payout order affect the payout amounts? (For example, where the 10-percent-winner would normally be paid before the full-progressive winner.) Stay tuned for my trip report sometime in May.
Next week I'm going to check out the exhibit hall at the Southern Gaming Summit. But, the pre-conference info suggests a significantly smaller exhibit hall (and fewer exhibitors) this year than previous years. I'll be checking why this might be, given that casinos in southern Mississippi (and other southern venues) seem to be doing reasonably well.
And, gambling? Yup. I squeeze some in here and there. But, the Florida challenger is on the ropes with the Casino Champs laying on one helluva beating. The WoV hero may be down, but he is not out. The Battle in Biloxi continues.

If I recall about 2 years ago, the IP towards the left of the main entrance in front of the table games they had a bouncing dice electric roulette game....the floor of the dome that held the dice would be spring loaded to bounce the dice in the air.... I never tried to play it though.

Yup. Two years ago. Gone now.
