Stopped at Walmart for snacks-11.00
Drinks at the gate- 9.00

Trip total 109.20
I hope your flights go smoothly. Look forward to the rest of your report!
Quote: RomesHa, while I could say I don't need the birth control lesson, it never hurts to have more than you need ;).

Haha we'll see. Just landed. Flight 1 was pleasantly good. Well the spirit flight and service was. Flying with a 2 and 4 year old not so much. The 2 year old slept for about 2 hours. There was about 30 min of hell but the rest of it was decent.
Forgot to mention I signed up for spirit card when I booked this and got $100 off first bill. So that is reflected in the first post.
Trip total $127.20
So what's first on the agenda? Hookers and blow? =pQuote: GWAEShuttle to hotel $16 plus $2 tip

Trip total 132.20.
Can you explain a bit more about your flight costs? $189 for 4 people round trip, less a $100 credit? How does that work?
Quote: kewljNo offense, GWAE, but I can't imagine anything as bad as Vegas with a 2 and 4 year old, including flight (but I am not a real kids person to begin with). I hope it works out as you intend and you all have a good time. I will be reading. :)

Spirit offers some ridiculous cheap flights if you catch them at the right time. Same with frontier.
Spirit had an insane deal. It was 23.xx per person each way. Our 1.9 year old was free and sat on our lap. I had a credit card offer that gave $100 off your bill after you spent 500. You pay for bags and we took 1 bag at 30 each way. Spirit has horrible reviews but it was a pretty seamless flight and everyone was very helpful. Best part for us is it flee out of latrobe which is a tiny airport. They are then only commercial flight and there is 1 terminal. We showed up 45 min before flight and parking was free.
Trip total is 160.20
$160 on the Don't Pass will quickly bring this trip to even. If not, you can just Marty until it hits? lol =DQuote: GWAE...Trip total is 160.20
Not sure where you're staying, but I recall from YEARS back when I stayed at MGM they had a pretty cool arcade. Teach the kids to pump quarters in to machines early...
Quote: GWAEJust ate paris breakfast buffet. It was ok, omelets were good. Kids were free so our total was 41.98, but we still have 103,675 rewards credits thanks to the race to Rewards a few years ago.
Trip total 132.20.
103,000 / 17000 = $600 in slots/vp play
mom goes and plays for a few hours while dad takes the kids to the wonderful pool ;-)

It's no longer cool. They have "The Simpsons" arcade game left as one of the few functioning. On the strip, best choices for arcades imo are the "Excalibur Fun Dungeon" and the "Circus Circus Midway" of course.
Quote: teddysNYNY has a new arcade with a bunch of Stern pinball machines.
We hate NYNY. Up by the roller coaster? They overhaul that area? It needed it.
Quote: teddysI like the up-to-date accounting. I hope (no, expect) to see that hit positive figures by the end of the trip!
Well then here ya go
Walking by mgm Hugh limit, only one with multipliers.

The Simpsons Arcade Game? How many decades old is that thing? (Seriously, you can play that on phones now.)
Besides - a two-year-old is way too young for an arcade.
Using 2nd myvegas redemption. 2 free entries to shark reef and kids were free. Saved $36
YES! I love the $1-$5 mults =D. That's really awesome you poked a low 4oak!Quote: GWAEWell then here ya go

...Now another couple of those and you've got the money for those hookers and that blow... lol
Hope the trip continues to go well! I hope you get pics of some of the other fun stuff too, like the shark reef =p.
Took this outside man bay
It was not near the taxi stand but it was there. Did not see any at airport.
Btw, if anyone is driving near the vegas sign feel free to beep at us.
Car show?
Barrett-Jackson auto auction. Could be fun if your kids are the right age and temperment to be enthralled by expensive/exotic cars.Quote: GWAEWe are crossing Russell rd.

I thought that is what it was. Didn't know it happened often.
We ended up taking the bus from the sign back to MGM. We bought 4 waters for $2 at the store next to m&m store. As soon as I said that I bet you all thought I bought pee water from one of the street vendors.
We then took the monorail back to paris. Also stopped at mcdonalds to get kids meals.
Found 9 plays on ux at low denom. Ended up losing 1.25.
$16 for 2 pass passes.
$4 water
$11 mcdonalds
$1 gaming loss
$5 bell hop tip
Trip total +$195
...take turns watching the kids and spend an hour in the casino ?
Quote: GWAEDecided to head back to the room for a bit. Kids were getting a bit cranky.

I'm surprised you've even been able to find plays in vegas on UX. While I was there earlier this year, it was next to impossible. It seemed like every one of them had been picked through, and all of the ones with the high denoms on them had a scammer on it trying to convince a tourist that he had a "sure thing" on the machine.
Perhaps vegas "hustlers" and "Scammers" start taking time off in the later months? Hmmm.

Nice job!!!
We took our 16 month old (at the time) earlier this year with both sets of in-laws from Sydney. This may seem like cruel and unusual punishment meted out by an authoritarian regime but it actually worked out well to have babysitters that we called on a few times.
If you like animals, maybe give the Siegfried and Roy show a go.
And may the reels roll your way.
By the end of the night which was 230. Kids woke up on east coast time at 515 am. Going to breakfast now.
After tipping and gambling a little trip is now +125
If you're available to sign up for credit cards, a hard pull should be worth WAY more than $100. This actually made me die a little inside. I could list at least half a dozen other cards that would have paid for your full flight and then some.
Have a good trip.
Quote: ahiromuAppreciated your comment about birth control... I'm in my late 20s and everything about children annoys me to no end.

Don't worry my credit things are good. Got the card with 100 off plus 15k miles which is enough for 3 round trips or so they say. Annual fee is also waved for first year. 1 hard pull is ok, I only have 6 across the big 3 and 3 of them are mortgage pulls. This is my first hard in 11 months as well so they others will be dropping in the next 3-12 months.
We just got back from the pool. I have 1 complaint about the pool at Paris. The sun comes up from the other side which means the pool doesn't get all sun until like 2pm. Other than that the pool was fine. This is my ninth trip to vegas and the first time I have wasted time at a pool.
We had breakfast at the buffet again and used points so nothing out of pocket yet for us today.
Today's itinerary
Lunch, siegfried and roy, ToK, fountain, volcano, dinner, flamingo (if they still have the animals), bellagio flower thing, games at excalibur, and maybe a little night gambling. We have 200 budgeted for gambling tonigjt so that will determine if the trip stays in the black.
Last Spring, at the food court outside of the Shark Exhibit, they were offering a "buy a soft drink in this plastic mug and get free refills day of purchase" deal. It was worth it, as I refilled that thing a dozen times before we left the food court, and it was good for other places on the Strip.
I did 43000 steps yesterday and I am up to 20000 already today.
Quote: GWAEWeather is very hot for Sept. 101 yesterday and 100 right now...
Should've been there in late June. It was 117°
Quote: GWAEGot back to the room at 9pm last night. Kids were dead to the world. I went and met up with some folks. Playing at bartop with crap paytable for free drinks. I ended up hitting 4 aces on bonus poker for $200. I went to take a picture but hit max bet for some reason so no pic.

Four Aces on Bonus for $200? You were playing at the 50c level? And you didn't end up a winner? Sounds like you play fast. :p
Going to head over to g2e now.
Quote: GWAEAte breakfast at Harrah's buffet with points. It was ok but nothing special. All buffets are the same to me which is acceptable. Also why I would never actually pay for a buffet.
Going to head over to g2e now.
Going there (g2e) too. Maybe I'll see you there.
Quote: GWAEIt was 800 credits at .25. Maybe double double bonus. Who knows I had about 6 beers in 40 min and was bouncing around games while talking. I was playing super super slow. Did like 6 tier points in 90 min.
Did you mean you won $125 that night then? I thought you had been keeping a running total of everything, so I was worried when you said you won $200 and it sounded like only up $125 total even after $600 worth of big hits so far.
If you like craft beer, and if you can make it all the way to linq casino, TAG Lounge has about 200 beers compable.
