a) The NGC adopted amendments to the gaming regulations to allow wagering on games of skill. You'll see arcade-style games involving physical dexterity heading toward casinos very soon, I believe.
b) Anargyros Karabourniotis, more frequently known as Archie Karas, was added to the NGCB "Black Book" excluded persons list.
c) Another lady, a former dealer, had an incident where she got drunk while grieving, went to a casino, got in a fight and was arrested/charged with a misdemeanor. Her gaming card (license to be employed by a casino) was revoked. She applied for renewal but declined to report the arrest on the application because she "was embarrassed" and "didn't want her new boss to find out." The NGC denied her license -- not because she got drunk and got in a fight, but because she was not 100% truthful in her application. I thought this was the right result. The primary purpose of gaming regulation is to maintain the public trust in the system because it's otherwise *so* susceptible to corruption. Truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth from everyone involved is a key component of maintaining that trust.
d) I had gyros for lunch with Ahigh (and stv2049, but I think he had a Mexican pizza).
Thanks for a succinct and excellent report. The Review Journal should do half so well.Quote: MathExtremista) The NGC adopted amendments to the gaming regulations to allow wagering on games of skill. Re: Games of skill. For those of us who are less dexterous, has there been any discussion of our being victims of discrimination? The ADA just might apply.
Gotta love your attention to detail. See ya at G2E...Quote: MathExtremist...d) I had gyros for lunch with Ahigh (and stv2049, but I think he had a Mexican pizza).

I went to a meeting several years ago and there was a similar incident. Somebody lied about about no criminal record. Gaming researched it and found he had a DUI some ten years prior. He was challenged why he lied and the man said he had no good excuse other than being afraid it would get him denied. Gaming did deny him, not for the DUI, but for lying about it.

No, more like playing Call of Duty for money. Or Temple Run.Quote: Dicenor33Game of skill? You mean something like shooting balloons with a pellet gun and you get a toy like a giant rabbit? What's GNC is going to regulate, a size of rabbit?
