- BJ pays 1 to 1,
- Split Aces only and
- DD on 10 or 11 only, plus some proprietary rules.
The house edge is now a bit high. I think the HE can afford to reduce by any of these features:
- changing "bj paying 1 to 1" to "3 to 2"
- changing "split Aces only" to "split any pair"
- changing "dd on 10 or 11" to "dd on any first 2 cards"
- offering n-card Charlie
Which feature do you think is most attractive to average players? Perhaps no changes are needed as long as the game is fun and players are willing to pay to play. Thanks.

To ALL BJ players, whether advantage, casual or whatever, 3:2 on BJ is the MOST attractive option. People like getting something a little special for BJ. It also reduces the HE by the most by far.
Since I do not know how ribald I can be without getting a time-out, I will merely allude to it.Quote: TiltpoulPeople like getting something a little special for BJ.

"A bit high"?
It is about 3.4% (assuming H17) - like 9 times higher than normal bj.
I vote "don't change it" - if anyone is stupid enough to play this game with any one of those changes, they probably will not mind playing it the way it is either.
Sir, I beg to differ. I believe a low minimum bet is most important. Why else would 6/5 BJ tables exist?
The rules are not liberal and it's 6/5 BJ.

I don't know if Buzz is being serious, but to me a low minimum bet is most important. I don't play much BJ, but if I had to play for an hour, I'd rather play a $5 table at 6/5 than $15 at 3-2.
About 3.35%, very good guess.Quote: weaselman"A bit high"?

Look at penny slots. The average bet is now 77 cents. More than enough to bet 3 quarters, but penny slots rule !
To many experts quote BJ -ev expressed in Basic Strategy and simulations of 8,000,000 hands.
Average player plays 2-3 hours and usually can not squeeze 8,000, 000 hands in that time frame.
You dream is a nightmare for the player, but I suspect you already knew that >

I merely used the same method you invented "Action Blackjack (Paff)".
Or does a special card combination get the player a lap dance in the party pit ?
In that case I might play .
Will you play SWITCH, $10 x 2 per hand, with HE = 0.58 %?Quote: IbeatyouracesI believe that the $15 3:2 is cheaper. At least thats what I would play.
