Can someone please explain to me, how the Banker has an advantage to win and subsequently a "vig" is charged on wins on Banker bets? Other than ties, don't they have the same odds of winning? I'm just assuming the vig is to complete the house edge.

Banker wins more because of the drawing rules.

Ah. I've only played a few about 200 hands on a sim, and I can't see what the rules are for drawing. I'll look it up.

My problem is that the game plays so fast I barely know what rule is going on. I guess it just takes time and practice to recognize the action as it's happening.

Fortunately you don't need to know anything about baccarat to play it. The rules are set. If you can place your chips in a square, then you're a pro. Pick a side, place your chips, and lose your roughly 1% on every bet. Repeat until broke. Enjoy :)

That's only on a computer.

When you play in the casino, you could almost fall asleep.

Many players (mostly Asian), will take notes and examine their notes, and take forever to make their next bet.
