Played EZ Pai Gow for first time, and noticed an optional bonus bet that was basically a "red or black" wager. The player selects a color, and gets paid even money if 4+ of the dealer's cards are of the selected color, with a higher payout of 5-1 if all 7 cards are the selected color.

Can anyone tell me the house edge associated with this side bet? The dragon card is what throws me off.

The house edge of the dragon bet on EZ Pai Gow is 2.6786%; see EZ Pai Gow Poker. The house edge on the bet is the same for the Wild joker version. (Thanks for playing it!).

The house edge comes from the fact that the joker card is neither red or black, and so produces a few rare hands (of 3 Red, 3 Black & joker) that are neither Red or Black.
