I had some correspondence about Pai Gow Tiles with a friend of mine, which had me thinking about the house edge as shown in the Wizardofodds website. When a player banks, there is a reduced house edge.
But aside from the edge that the player/banker (P/B) has over the house bet, does the house still make money at the expense of the other players? That is, the P/B has a reduced edge due to the Tie factor, but because the house is taking 5% from the PB and the player wins, I would think it would make little difference to the house whether or not the player banked or the house banked (aside from the bet that the house has to post)?
