For Caribbean Stud Poker, there are casinos whereby the House rules indicates that the Dealer's hand shall be spread and the top card will be exposed. On the other hand, some will expose the bottom card instead of the top card.
My question is which rule is more appropriate for game protection? Or it does not matter at all which card is exposed.
Many thanks!

For odds / strategy / house edge, it absolutely doesn't matter. You could flip any of the five cards for the same result.
But you hit the nail on the head with protection.
Obviously one casino believes it's less likely to flash one of the other cards when flipping the top card, the other casino thinks bottom card.
To the player, it doesn't matter, unless a card is flashed.
Which is better for protection? I don't know.

Thanks for the reply. In my opinion, it is better to flip the bottom card instead of the top card. I say so because if the dealer flashes the bottom card and procedure wise states that the top card is to be exposed, then the patron will be able to obtain the value of 2 cards held by the House.
