Let it ride question (all cards face up)

I play only craps and "Let it Ride".
I was in Vegas in July and played Let it Ride at the new City Center Casino and the dealer was
dealing all the players' cards face up.
I have never ever seen that before.
Didn't help me though as the cards were "awful" (I dropped $200 in a matter of 30 minutes or so).
(They were so bad, I was wondering if the casino, being new, had purchased shufflers that somehow
moved face cards to the bottom of the deck).
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone can tell me if they are still dealing it that way at City Center
or was this an anomoly (since corrected)? (I'm heading out there again next week).
