Hi, All. First post here, glad I found this forum!
So I LOVE the Wizard of Odds' site -- always love knowing the perfect strategies per the odds of every game. However, unless I'm reading it wrong, nowhere can I find the house edge of the optional bets on all the novelty games. For instance, in Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em, is playing Trips just a bad bet, or not? I see there's a table about it, but -- and maybe I'm dumb -- I really hoped to have that broken down into one overall "This is the house edge" and a "Yes, you can play it" or "No, never play it" type of thing. :-)
Same would go for the Pair Plus bet in Three-Card, the Queens or Better bet in Crazy Four, etc.
Again, maybe I just haven't figured out the site well enough to know where all the answers are?
Any help to know the house edges and "correct play" for all these extra bets would be much appreciated!!

I'm slightly confused as I looked up the Pair Plus for the UK - it's table 2 and shows payouts of 35 33 6 4 1 for a House Edge of 2.70%.

For simple sidebets you make your wager and just wait for the outcome, either winning or losing dependent of what, in this case, hand you are dealt. The House Edge represents the long term cost of making the initial wager.
Normally the advice is not to play sidebets and stick to the main game. However you may decide you're happy to pay the additional cost for the added entertainment or chance to win big - the House Edge gives you an indication of how much that cost is.

If you want to reduce the HA to that of a one zero Roulette table or better, pay tables 1 & 2 should be OK for the trips bets.
