Is Sam Tarosian, the inventor of Pai Gow Poker, still alive?
I did a Google search but found no info.
For those of you who dont know... he created Pai Gow Poker in 1985 but failed to patent it.
The untold story is that he and the owner of the Bicycle Casino near LA created the "almost break even game" to entertain the wives while their husbands played traditional poker games at The Bell Casino and The Bike, both in Bell/Bell Gardens near LA.
Little did they know the game would catch on world wide.
Last article was about his retirement and living in Pasadena about 18 years ago.
The stories about how "two Jewish guys" invented Pai Gow Poker are still told today at The Bike.
